Hi yes HELLO!

Hope y'all ready to laugh, cry, and everything in between.  This was a Hallobeans winner request and I CANT believe I've never seen this one!    

I am OBSESSED with Dolly Parton - big big fan.  Her birthday was Tuesday, so it just seems like the right time to fit this one in! (that's what she said.)

The only problem I have with this movie is it's fairly unrealistic take on diabetes. Otherwise, great movie.

There are a wide array of ways diabetes can affect a person, and how it affected Shelby can absolutely happen. The script was based on the writer's own sister's death under these precise circumstances.

Matt. I think it’s the diff bet Type 1 (in the film) & Type 2, which is more commonly known. Type 1 is far more serious than Type 2 and thought to be incurable.

If you're interested in more Dolly, 9 to 5 is her first movie, and she is phenomenal in it. And don't watch Titanic if you don't want any more heavy emotions during a movie. You've been warned.

LOVE Steel Magnolias and it gets me every time, you had me crying along with you! Ever since watching it I've wanted to be a cross between Ouiser and Clairee, lol. If you haven't seen it I also recommend 9 to 5 and also Best Little Whorehouse In Texas. You'll love them

You said you hadn’t cried this hard at a movie yet. Whooo, child, it may have been the 1st time, but it won’t be the last. I can promise you that. But I won’t mention any movies now bc it gives too much away. It’s the ones you don’t see coming that gut you.

Finally had time to watch along. When I saw this in the theaters when it was released, I had no Kleenex with me. A lady sitting in my row started handing out Kleenex to all of us who didn't have them. I still cry every time I watch it. And, FYI-the guy who plays the preacher is the writer of both the original play and the screenplay.
