Edgar Wright. Baby Driver was really good. (Do you know there’s a Baby Driver 2 coming out?) Also, it reminded me of Guy Richie. (Can’t wait until Ashleigh gets to Richie’s best films.) I wonder who influenced whom?

If there are films you want to watch, you don’t have to put them in the poll. Just throw one out there ea month once you’ve settled into a good schedule. We won’t mind, and you won’t have to hear ppl’s opinions before seeing it.

You could also do themed months or maybe weeks. Like, one week zombie movies, the next action, sci-fi, etc. I think that’d be cool. 😎

I saw this movie when it first came out. I forgot how funny it is. The wooden bat was a cricket bat. Cricket is the English version of baseball. If you want to see another funny zombie movie then check out The Evil Dead series. The Army of Darkness, the third movie, is the best one. If you watch The Planet of the Apes, make sure to watch the original Charlton Heston one and not the Mark Walberg one. The first three in the series were good.

Being an extra on a zombie movie is prob only fun when watching the film afterward. There’s a lot of waiting around on sets. It’s at least an 8-12 hr day, covered in a sticky sugar-syrup mixture (fake blood). 🍯🛀

I’ve heard of this movie for so long that I didn’t realize I hadn’t actually seen it until now. It was pretty good! I do like Simon Pegg. Glad he’s leveled up to blockbusters. He’s great in the MI films.

When you want to work your way back to zombie films (there are sooo many), I rec TRAIN TO BUSAN &amp; WORLD WAR Z. Those are the 2 best imo. Train is from South Korea, so you need subtitles, but it’s absolutely worth it.

Not sure how much she would enjoy Hot Fuzz. I think The World's End would be more her to her taste.

Loved it. At 1220 about I bought beans out of the corner and forgot it wasn't the movie. Needless to say I had a laugh over that....

A great movie that features the "act like a zombie/imperial stormtrooper/pod person to move among them" trope is "Invasion of the Body Snatchers" (1978)featuring Donald Sutherland (father of Kiefer Sutherland from "The Lost Boys")and Veronica Cartwright who played Lambert in "Alien"
