I’ve been watching you on YouTube but had to support so that I could watch the full reaction for this episode since a lot of the singing has to be cut out for the edited YouTube. Yes, it’s all the actual cast singing, yes you can buy the soundtrack on CD or stream it on Spotify or Apple Music. And there is a behind the scenes feature about this episode that is totally spoiler free and only concentrates on this episode. So you can watching it. This is the YouTube link https://youtu.be/MNG4ra6F9Xw you might even consider watching it as a reaction or just on your own time. But it’s worth it. As for the episode, now as days like you said, a lot of shows throw in a musical episode. But when this aired it was fairly rare and unheard of. There were musical series but you hardly ever if at all had a musical episode for a show that wasn’t always a musical. Joss actually wrote all of the music and lyrics which is pretty impressive. And the thing that I love most is that it isn’t just a 1 off storyline. All of the songs have major revelations and story that drives the season forward. Tons of meaningful revelations happen. Alyson Hannigan’s face when Buffy says she’s been in heaven is heartbreaking. This episode is considered if not the best Buffy episode of all time at least in the top 5 of most fans. This is a huge one. Fun facts, the dry cleaner shirt, got the mustard out guy is writer David Fury and the woman singing the song about getting the parking ticket is Buffy writer and season 6 and 7 showrunner, Marti Noxon.

Thank you so much for watching and joining Patreon! Unfortunately the YouTube version was flagged for copyright because of the songs :( I’ll have to check out the soundtrack and behind the scenes feature! Agreed, I loved how they made it a normal part of the season with singing instead of a random storyline that didn’t move anything forward. I can see why it’s considered one of the best, it’s so well done and such a creative episode! Haha nice!
