Great to see you back reacting again. Such a lot of emotions in this episode. The gold treatment was first introduced based on the reputation of Robert Koch who found gold cyanide (ahhhh) to be effective in tuburculosis cultures not animals. it was popularised in the 1920's despite consistantly negative results!!!! Shows the desperation surrounding this disease back then. The main characters really show their arcs this episode. Ada has always been the one Tommy trusted in business and is definitely trying to take on Polly's role. Arthur just poor Arthur, he is at rock bottom so the only way can be up how ever far up takes him???? Tommy always sees money as an answer as it has worked for him so far but not against death, you can't buy yourself more time. So sad. Was gutted they killed Ruby, but Tommy is never meant to be happy always fighting the demons and never getting resolution. This is his arc to redemption whatever that means. Get the tissues ready for the next episode!!!!!!!
