Point Break Reaction

Awesome! What a wonderful, cheesy, over-the-top action flick. The transition from 80s pop culture to 90s is subtle, but fun! I'm trying to think of movies you may not have seen...maybe some John Travolta flicks? Always enjoy your reactions Jen.

Thank you so much! Super cheesy but so much fun haha I've only seen a few John Travolta movies so I need to add more to my list!

Well, your catch phrases always give me a chuckle, but you seem to have such a good grasp on film history and pop culture. Your commentary is always interesting. I've always been a film nerd so I could suggest a lot. Promise I won't be a pest! 😅 As for Travolta films, if I may humbly recommend: The obvious start to his 2nd career, Pulp Fiction (1994). The quirky comedy-drama, Michael (1996). The bad good movie (or the good bad movie), Phenomenon (1996) The cheesy action 90s romp, Broken Arrow (also 1996) (*Nicolas Cage vibes in this one... which led to John and Nicolas working together in 1997's Face Off*) And the slow burn, murder mystery, Blow Out (1981) Other categorical suggestions: For "it's bad, but I can't look away": The Sword and the Sorcerer (1982) (in the tradition of Battle Beyond the Stars/Star Crash) And for an all time true classic, in the era of Nosferatu and Dr. Caligary: Metropolis (1927) Here's to 2022 and more growth to your channel!
