No question, thrillers. It's always what you can't see, what you imagine, which is most terrifying.

Gore is fun (for some of us) when it's over the top but suspense is also great. Really depends on what type of movie you're watching and sometimes they can go hand in hand like Silence of the L:ambs

Yeah that's true, in my mind slasher films are like the Fast and Furious series. Are they entertaining? sure. Will I remember what happened? probably not.
