I'd never heard of that novel. When I looked it up, I was surprised to learn that it's the basis for Village of the Damned. I really love the 1960 version of the film (I've never seen the remake, though).

Yeah there is another novel from him that I enjoy as well called Day of the Triffids. I haven't seen Village of the Damned 😬
