I hate to say it, but she wasn’t strangling her with the hot curling iron, it was....umm...inserted where you REALLY wouldn’t want it to go. That and the bees scene have always been one of the more shiver inducing scenes I’ve seen.

Maybe I was thinking of modern day curling irons, ones that you can open. I was thinking she had one part of the curling iron on either side of her neck.
