Minimal Audio has released its first Instrument VST plugin named 'Current.' What does it include? Essentially, everything you can imagine, all in one package. Additionally, it offers integrated content through 'Stream,' the company's own cloud-based content system. Through a subscription, you can access content and samples.

'Current' is primarily a synthesizer that aims to combine all current popular synthesis methods under one roof. Subtractive synthesis? Check. Granular synthesis? Check. Sampler? Check. Additive synthesis? Check. FM & AM? Check. Everything is included. 

If that's not enough, there's also a filter section. From standard low-pass filters to morph filters and extending to phaser and comb filters, everything is available. Both filters can be routed or toggled as desired.

The effect section doesn't just add any effects; it integrates all current Minimal Audio effect plugins. This includes Morph EQ, Rift, Swarm Reverb, Fuse Compressor, Cluster Delay, and Flex Chorus. It seems like Minimal Audio wants to outdo all other offers on the market. I like it.

Not only does 'Current' itself come with presets, but every effect, oscillator, and sampler also comes with its own presets.

Among the obligatory modulation sources are followers, LFOs, curves, MSEGs, and standard ADSR envelopes. Macros on the left side can be mapped to quickly change various parameters. So, everything is in place.

The entire interface can be resized, and there is an output limiter and a clipper. Basically, every wish is fulfilled. The only thing I couldn't find is a Wavetable Editor. But you can import Wavetables from your hard drive if you want. 

I guess most people don't need an Editor anyway and there are plenty of wavetables available online anyway. Additionally, the sub-oscillator has additive capabilities for quickly targeting specific harmonics.
