Hi everyone.

I found some VERY old cartoons I made when I was young. I think they're about 10 years old. I made them for some Dutch gaming websites when the Wii was close to being released, so that'd be around 2005.

The only technique/tool I had mastered somewhat was the dip pen, so I used to draw these on paper, scan them and get extremely frustrated because I couldn't properly seperate my line art from the white paper. Then, I'd color the cartoon in Photoshop and apply some "shading" as well.

I really don't want to share these with anyone, but I'm willing to make an exception for our loyal Patrons. After all, that's what Patreon should be about: getting exclusive content that only true fans will appreciate. I attached the cartoons to this post, so you can even save them to your hard drive. To me, this feels like walking around naked in public, so please enjoy my embarrasment.

1 - Snorlax. If I were to translate this from Dutch, it'd probably be something like: "Snorlax you stupid fatass, use Body Slam!". I made this before Pokémon Diamond and Pearl were announced. I remember some rumors about controlling Pokémon using voice commands with the Nintendo DS microphone, so I came up with this HILARIOUS scenario. Bonus embarrasment points for the "train" background I created using all sorts of Photoshop techniques I was NOT familiar with.

2 - Animal Crossing. "New character in Animal Crossing". Being a giant shark. I distinctly remember wondering why Animal Crossing: Wild World was called Animal Crossing. I thought this "pun" (because he's crossing the water and then he's gonna get eaten by the shark!!) was extremely funny. Sigh.

3 - Brain Draining. Another pun. I put SO much work in Photoshopping the Devil Kawashima. A few years later, Nintendo stole my design by the way

4 - ??? Ugh... I don't know... Mysterious Dungeon, so... they find Bin Laden? I don't even know anymore. I'm sorry. I'm gonna stop writing this blog post now, I can't take it any longer.
