Hidden Details: Launch Parties (Patreon)
Content
Welcome to the fifty-ninth episode of the Hidden Details blog!
Have you found some obscure reference or detail in this comic? A JoJo reference? A sneaky little Loss? A callback to a previous comic? Let us know what you've found in the comments! Every detail that has been found will be added to the list below. Once everything has been found, this comic will officially be marked with "all details found".
The Patron who has found the most Hidden Details at the end of the year might win something nice... We still need to do the big reveal of 2019's winner, but it's happening very soon!
Please only comment with ONE hidden detail or reference!
There is NO JoJo reference, ONE Loss and ONE Balthazar. Bonus panels are not counted.
The hidden details in this week's comic were a bit hard to count because a lot of them are in a grey area between 'main topic' and 'hidden details', but I counted at least 22. If you mention one that's not in this list, there's a good chance I'll add it anyway. If not, I'll let you know so you can mention something else. There's plenty to go around this week.
1: Yep, the Sony living room has PlayStation-themed wallpaper. Thanks for noticing, Screen Name.
2: Eivor is rocking two hats, imitating the horns on a viking helmet.
3: Eivor is using his/her hidden blade to eat cake.
4: The flags in both houses are themed after their respective brand colours.
5: Eivor's crow is attacking a Bugsnax.
6: There are five candles on the PS5 cake. Because... 5.
7: The Maiden in Black is lighting the candles on the PlayStation cake. She also lights candles in the Nexus in Demon's Souls. Glad you noticed, Zach.
8: The Slayer of Demons is doing the Hurray! gesture, which is an actual gesture in the game.
9: The photo in the background of the PlayStation home is one tweeted by Cory Barlog. Found by CrazySeanDX.
10: Sackboy is waving a little 5-flag.
11: The Maiden in Black stays true to her style and wears a black party hat.
12: Spider-Man wears a Spider-Hat. Nicely found, Trigger.
13: Eivor is indeed at both parties because Assassin's Creed: Valhalla launches on both systems, Alex Nelson!
14: The Xbox Series S and Series X have S and X shaped candles. Found by Sakura Kyzor.
15: There's a picture of Phil Spencer and Todd Howard hanging on the wall of the Xbox home, referencing the Bethesda acquisition by Microsoft. Nice catch, John Hattan.
16: Steve, Banjo and Kazooie wrote a letter to their pals back home, saying they're having a great time in Smash. Glad you found this one, Zanreo.
17: Ori is wearing his hat on his tail.
18: Inkling's cards are covered in ink. Naturally. You're absolutely right, Marwan Abunura.
19: The playing cards have a little Balthazar graphic on their backs. Nicely found, Luke.
20: Yep, those hardware and software sale graphs in the background of the Nintendo home are pretty accurate if you compare them to the actual numbers, Put 9-Volt In Smash Bros Please.
21: Cappy is wearing cool shades.
22: The coins below Grookey in the final panel indeed form loss.jpg, Daniel Myhre.
23: Link is indeed celebrating the release of Hyrule Warriors, Toon Draw.
24: And last but no least, yes, Scorbunny is lighting Sobble's cigar. Found by Phloxiana.
After one week, I'll reveal all the details that haven't been found. These ones are written in italic.
