I just finished drawing all the panels of Everyone is Celebrating! Which makes me want to celebrate myself. We're also super close to 50k followers on Instagram and we hit our very first Patreon goal, so I'm super stoked. But I'll try to contain my hype and write down a few details you might have missed in the Everyone is Celebrating-panels we posted this week. Here we go:

There's not much going on in Villager's and Wario's panel, but please note that Villager is still among the villains, even in this poster. I know Wolf and Dedede aren't with the other villains in the upper left corner, but I still tried to put as many of them in there. Also, the "1" that's supposed to be on Villager's shirt has been replaced with a skull, but the axe partially covers it.

This wholesome panel is a callback to the I Can Has Diagnosis? comic. In that comic, you can see that Dr. Mario has "get medical degree" on his to-do list. In this panel, he can finally cross that one off! Link gets Elixer Soup, which is a soup his grandma makes him in the Wind Waker. Link's grandma in the Wind Waker is the most adorable grandma ever, so I thought this was pretty cute. Her note reads "you'll always be top-tier to me! ❤❤ ❤ - Grandma".

The sign on Mac's present reads "OP Recovery Starter Pack". In case you didn't know: Little Mac's recovery in Smash is notoriously bad since he's not an air fighter. Villagers recovery, on the other hand, is notoriously good. So the present Little Mac is getting here is Villager's recovery. He'd be super overpowered if he had that, which is why he's so happy. In a pretty evil way. Olimar and Alph's present is a reference to the fact that their helmets can now crack in Smash Ultimate. It's purely visual flair though, but Nintendo did feel the need to point it out in this Direct and I thought that was pretty funny/adorable.

The joke I'm referencing with Pit's present might be a bit obscure. It's this one. Dark Pit gets guyliner because... well, because he seems like the type who'd wear guyliner. I changed his outfit to make him even more emo/scene looking. The brand on the guyliner is "Viridy" by the way, and looks a bit like the (real brand) Vichy. "Pittoo" on the little name card is another reference to Kid Icarus Uprising.

Greninja receives a Nerf gun, partly because I think water Pokémon would always enjoy receiving water guns, but also because Greninja was nerfed a ton of times when Smash 4 launched, which became a meme. So in short: Greninja received YET another nerf. Sakurai's a madman. Sonic gets a little gem with the digit 4 stapled to it and he seems like he doesn't really know what to do with it. It is, in fact, the fourth Chaos Emerald Shadow the Hedgehog is so feverishly looking for in this hilariously hideous cutscene from the Shadow the Hedgehog game (Know Your Meme link). Which is also why he comes crashing through the window, of course.

Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong receive a new window! And they'd better be happy with it, because their old window broke in the King K. Rool reveal trailer because their eyeballs popped right trough it. Which is also why they're bandaged.

Chrom gets the same sweater as Bowser got! Only his sweater says "#1ε Dad", since he's Lucina's father, but also an Echo fighter of Roy. His right sleeve is missing as well, because Chrom seems to prefer outfits that leave his right arm naked. Showoff.

In this panel, R.O.B. is finally officially revealed as the laser-shooter, but we don't know what he's shooting at. Lucas gets a new Rope Snake that's cooler and more muscular than his previous one. His previous one feels betrayed. The title of Lucario's book is "Understanding Your Aura". Since Lucario is all about his aura, I decided to draw him as a new age hippy who'd like it if Oddish were to become a legalized drug.

And that's it for today! I'll be back once more next week, which will be the very last Patreon post of the year!

I hope you all have an amazing Christmas! Love you all ❤

Cheers!

- Abel
