Wow, a Fortnite comic! Does that mean the Smash comics are over?

No, it just means I wanted a quick palette cleanser so I can continue making Smash comics until Smash Ultimate releases. I actually made this comic weeks ago (the final panel has been my profile picture on social media for a while now, and nobody knows where it's from, hehehe) because when you're reading this, I'm enjoying the final day of my holiday in Paramaribo, Suriname with my dad.

So while I am eating roti, hunting crocodiles and cuddling monkeys in a tropical rainforest, you can enjoy this Hidden Details blog from the safety of your own home. I have to warn you though, before you get all excited: it's a light one. Compared to Smash, Fortnite isn't the best game to make comics with lots of hidden details about. Or maybe I just know too little of the game, since I'm still a noob, as depicted in the comic.

But I did my research, and I made sure there are at least a few neat tidbits in there. Like these:

The gear that the player (that turns out to NOT be me) is using is all extremely rare and valuable gear. First: his glider is a Slipstream glider, which is an epic glider that's only available to Twitch Prime subscribers.

And then there is, of course, his outfit. Or skin, as we (pro Fortnite players) call it.

This skin is called Omen. Omen is a legendary skin that's available for 2000 V-Bucks when it's available during the shop's random rotation.

I chose this skin because it looked cool and mysterious. And it has a nice contrast when shown next to the skin of the opponent in this comic:

This is the Red Knight, which is another legendary skin. It also appears rarely in the shop for 2000 V-Bucks.

Oh also, to keep things consistent, the "player" finds a bunch of good weapons and materials in the third panel that he immediately uses in the fourth and fifth panel:

And now, it's time for the first and only TRUE hidden detail in this comic.

Look at the blueprint the Omen is holding in the fourth panel.

Yes.

That's Loss.

(Please picture me dropping a mic and casually strolling off the stage)

I will see you all next week, have a wonderful weekend!
