For Season 3, you may need to keep a box of tissues handy. Season 3 has some deep emotional moments in it, in between the insane action.

It's actually really easy to find examples of the twins and those from the northern water tribe in real life. Plenty of leaders in the world are doing shady things, yet they have loyal followers who turn a blind eye

I like that Korra has more stakes than Last Airbender honestly other than the Firelord trying to destroy evertything. Youll see in the next 2 seasons but since Korra is older than Anag like early 20's she's deals with more adult stuff. Anng found his spiritual side too remember at the end of book 2 with the guru guy but he left to help Katar before Azula shot him down

Lots of people were really mad at the decision to actually kill the connection to their past lives. But I kinda like it because it forces Korra not to rely on the past too much and the first thing she did is defy the advise from a previous Avatar. Aang didnt listen to his past lives a lot either, especially in the finale. Also they do tend to skim over Asami's feelings a lot for the first 2 seasons. It was all about Korra and Mako's feelings and how they dealt with the drama. in the next season Asami gets a slightly more of an emotional focus which i like

I was really upset at first about them killing the connection between Korra and her past lives, but after some reflection I've come to appreciate that whenever Korra faces a problem in the future, she can't just "cheat" so to speak and ask her past lives for advice. Not that that would necessarily solve her problems as we saw in The Last Airbender. Korra is essentially beginning the cycle anew, like Won did 10,000 years ago. I'd still say I enjoyed season 2 more than most people did, but I will also agree that season 3 is one of the best seasons from either franchise, extremely close to season 3 of TLA for me. That said, episodes 7 and 8 from this season are right up there as a couple of my absolute favorites. I love delving into the origins of the avatar and the world around them, and I love how they animated the episodes and the art direction surrounding them. That's why I also love the books that are set before TLA. They go into the life of Avatar Yangchen and Kiyoshi. I would highly recommend them.

I love LOK but ssn 1&2 are def suppar compared to 3&4. Even tho I don't like that they severed the link between the past avatars it is poetic bc as the world is entering a new era; Korra is starting a new era of the avatar. Can't wait for you to watch ssn 3 😊😆.

Book 3 is for sure something to be contemplated

Narutoanime16

I think it adds more real stakes cause if she dead then no one else can bend 4 elements lol. Anag had stakes of just learning all 4 and stopping the dictacotr firelord, Azula was more of a Zuko battle

A lot of the beats in this finale are callbacks. Rava and Won were only able to fuse because they harnessed the power of harmonic convergence, the same way the dark avatar fused. Also, the line "before we bent the elements, we bent the energy in ourselves" and "connecting to the pure cosmic energy" are both callbacks to what Aang learned from the lion turtle and the guru in the final season of ATLA. Even the visual sequence of korra connecting to the pure cosmic energy mirrors the same visuals from ATLA when Aang did it in ATLA. Also, I had the same thought as you during the final battle. Pema, HOP ON A BISON AND LEAVE. lol

with season 3 it was different, the writers already knew they would get a forth season when they made it
