Double Ted Lasso week, let's go!

Geoffrey of Monmouth

So, the gauntlets that give everybody the "power of a chi blocker" aren't actually blocking chi, it just gives you the power of one--like, the same way that a gun "gives you the power" of an expert martial artist, it just gives ordinary people a chance against benders without having to learn something incredibly difficult. You also already saw some of that flashback stuff in episode 4, after Amon knocked her out.

Ian

aye a full week of videos, love to see it!! appreciate all the effort with life being as busy as it is :)

Ian

I'm confused, I see all six of her Loki reactions?

john Alexander

I really enjoy the fights in LoK mostly because of her fighting style compared to Aang in how she is a lot more offensive compared to the more passive Air Bending style.

YO! a packed week? LETS GOOOO!!!! 👏👏👏

My personal theory is Amon bought off the Refs as an excuse for his speech. He wanted to purposefully show Benders cheating and using a rigged system; making his point all the more when he makes such a big spectacle of taking away the winner's Bending: a true showing of justice. Also, I think he's uncertain whether he can truly stand up against Korra; she's crazy powerful even not knowing Airbending. Plus, taking her bending away after such an underdog win would have harmed his campaign more than helped; turning the public against him for hurting a beloved figure such as The Avatar.

I say "personal theory", that might be exactly what it was, but I just don't remember if they ever say it explicit or not. *chuckles

Episode 6 is the first episode that really starts showing off the awesome fight scenes that LOK is full of. One of the best things about ATLA are its action sequences and LOK continues that tradition. This season slaps from this point onward.

Robert Bonfante

True. Even King Bumi mentioned how Aang's style of evading and counter-attacking is typical of air benders.

So just to say, Korra being able to airbend wouldn't have helped out all that much with her trying to get up to the roof. Like, even if she could, she wouldn't be a master, and airbending doesn't just allow you to fly freely. Aang always needed a glider, and that might be a more advanced technique. Like her ascending up to the roof wouldn't have been easy, as there wasn't many things for her to air jump off of to get up there, too much open space. I'm happy you're enjoying the show more and more. The season gets really interesting from here. Can't wait for you to watch more, Natalie!

In case anyone is interested in the rules of pro bending, there is actually a nice official rulebook that was made that is pretty neat: https://imgur . com/a/0xOYgÀ (I imagine comments with links probably get deleted, but I figured it was worth a try)

Still just love how that's Rami Malek.
