Hi folks!

It's finally time for this incredible show!! I truly am so stoked to be revisiting it and can't wait to dive into new seasons soon :)

For those that are watching this for the first time, I highly suggest watching this first season without me haha. I likely will mention spoilers or get excited for things I know are going to happen. Just want to keep my reactions honest and not stifle myself and I don't want to ruin this story for those that are completely new to it.

That's a little extreme. Dogs may not be able to understand every situation, but they can tell the difference between when they are being praised or scolded.

Happy Tuesday nat also excited to be revisiting the series along with you and even though I've seen it maybe 5 times it never gets old 🙂 all the first time watchers are in for a crazy ride as are you when you get to the newer seasons 😃 on that note let the fun begin . Interestingly the actress Erin moriarty who plays starlight you might recognise as hope from Jessica Jones

In the comics, they based Hughie on a young Simon Pegg, so when they went to cast the series, they signed Pegg to play Hughie's dad.

Nice! I binged seasons 1-3 when s.3 was released, so this will be a cool way to rewatch from the beginning while waiting for s.4 . I remember this first episode just having that moment near the beginning that really sets a tone for the series and making it clear that 'this ain't your regular superhero series'. I could say the same for and recommend a show called 'Invincible', animated series also on Amazon prime

Just finished watching and I had a great time watching along with you! This show's so much fun and it's funny, too. Really a fan of it. It's hard to believe that you didn't watch seasons 2 and 3, but hey I'm stoked for whenever we get to those. :) This show's such a blast! Happy to have this one going. I'm stoked to be watching the ENTIRE show with her. She enjoyed the first season so it'll be entertaining throughout. May not be NEW for her but it'll be an entertaining watch. If you're just not a fan of the series and you're wanting to rush through it - I guess that I understand. If that's the case though then I'd end the subscription until it's wrapped up then hop on back once fresh content for her is being seen. I'm aok with this - so I'll be watching and having fun while I'm at it. :)

And oddly enough, they are way more restrained than the comic, and it's all for the better. I like the comic, but a lot of shit in there just seems like it's there only for the shock factor, which ultimately waters down actually gruesome moments or crazy character driven story beats.

If you watched this episode with her you could already see that she's forgotten a lot of what happened. If she started at S2 she'd probably have been lost on many of the plot points. I'm glad she's rewatching S1 first.

I enjoyed it as an experiment in human nature. The Boys on a poll where she mentions she's seen S1 - loses badly. Doesn't mention she's seen S1 - wins easily. Plus I'm kind of surprised how many people forgot she had mentioned seeing S1.

I noticed you spotted Colby Minifie as being the actor who played Robyn in Jessica Jones. You may not have picked up that Erin Moriarty, who plays Starlight here, was Hope in Jessica Jones.
