Woo, Season 2! I'm always excited for new Nat Stranger Thing eps! Did anyone else gasp or go 🤐 when Natalie said a certain keyword during her reaction? If you know you know! Can't wait til the rest of the seasons drop!

Chanfyr

Good episode. Now to spend an entire day mentally preparing for Jessica Jones

Ana Fox

"It's like a spider and a tornado had a baby" LMAO pretty much!

Anonymous

glad we will be able to watch Jessica Jones but is it possible to squeeze Arcane on Wednesdays?

Robert Miller

I just gotta say how much I appreciate you using a countdown timer to match the timer on Netflix. Makes it so much easier to sync. Thank you!

Richard Maurer

She's already watching 4 shows a week, give her a break. She'll get to Arcane eventually.

Fingers crossed you get Marvel fatigue lol. I selfishly want to see you enjoy better things.

Marvel really has conditioned a heck of a lot of people to accept utter mediocrity, haven't they? It boggles my mind. Both on the TV side and on the movie side. It's like McDonald's, easily filling, forgettable, except it's packaged in a really slick exterior which makes people overlook the flaws. We are literally living in a golden age of television and movies, yet the most popular properties are Marvel. It's either one huge hoodwink and people have been conditioned to accept less in exchange for flashy entertainment, or I really am missing something profound here. 😂

Eddie Green

Jessica Jones, especially Season 1, is the furthest thing from mediocre. It's arguably the best of the 13 Marvel Netflix seasons, and better than many MCU movies and TV shows.

Martin

Natalie, no one is mentioning this. BOB is SAMWISE GAMGEE!

Caomhan84

I actually think it's the age of the Western all over again. The western dominated movies and TV for decades, but when you really look back on it, there were only a few really good titles during all of those decades. Most of it was either mediocre or just plain bad. But people accepted it until they got sick of it. That's exactly what's happening right now with all the superhero stuff. You can either say that it is brilliant producing on the part of Kevin Feige, or the audience is just content to accept paint by numbers entertainment Because of the promise that it's adding to some larger universe that's building up to something. But they already did that trick once with the Avengers movies. It's asking an awful lot to expect audiences to go for it again, and again. I think the bubble will burst pretty soon.

Brandon

I can't say it just yet as it could spoil things so we'll have to wait til later seasons, but if you're a hardcore ST fan the moment would've immediately stuck out for you :)

id have to disagree there. punisher tops any marvel show

Jules

People have been saying that the bubble will pop since 2012. I'm not saying you're wrong, just that it's never as simple and as clear cut as people who dislike Marvel movies assume. Marvel has dominion of the culture, Marvel has a built in fanbase (not just of comic readers, but of kids who grew up with the MCU), and Marvel produces content that is easy to react to. If you're waiting for Marvel to fall into nothingness like the Western, you may be waiting a long time yet.

Siti Dee

Oh yeah i know exactly what youre talking about lol

Martin

He also did the motion capture for the baby in Terminator Salvation

Caomhan84, i'm not sure what flaws you are talking about. I'm not saying that Marvel movies are Oscar worthy and thoughtful treatises on human nature. They are fun and (mostly) well written, well directed popcorn movies with well defined and interesting characters. The connective tissue between franchises still feels like a novelty because NO ONE has managed to replicate it. Do you remember when the first Avengers movie felt like a really huge gamble? Marvel movies are not stupid, though. You only have to look at Black Panther or Civil War to find all kinds of social commentary and shades of grey. 28 movies into the MCU and only one of them (Eternals) has an RT score less than 65%, and it took them 12 years and 26 movies to get there. The DCEU stumbled on their first try and the second movie fell flat on its face. The Dark Universe gave up after one film. The 00s was a pretty rough time for fun blockbusters because of 9/11. Marvel kind of revived the 80s movie, experimenting wildly and very entertainingly and it paid off big time. My guess is that you either only enjoy certain kinds of movies, which is fine, or that you simply think the Marvel movies are too many. Myself, i like movies of all genres, as long as they are good movies. I'm still waiting for Marvel to drop a really bad one.

Although it's true that westerns are rarely blockbusters anymore, the genre never truly died. Those who were able to interpret and update the genre achieved also box office success. The westerns of the 40s and 50s were all about America exceptionalism, while the 60s and 70s westerns were more complex (McCabe & Mrs. Miller, Butch Cassidy, and all the spaghetti westerns). After the Vietnam debacle, cowboys were no longer the heroes (not every time) but the genre didn't die, it evolved. Again, in the 90s: Unforgiven (1992), Dance With Wolves (1990), both classics, both well after the "golden age". The genre continues to this day, of course. Brokeback Mountain (2005), Appaloosa (2008), Django Unchained (2012), The Power of the Dog (2021), Bone Tomahawk (2015). If superhero movies are the westerns of the golden age, then they are here to stay, I'm afraid. If you don't want to watch the MCU it's fine. You can check out Brightburn (2019), Logan (2017), Kick-Ass (2010), The Boys (2019 - ?), The Watchmen (2009), Misfits (2009-2013) and all the other parodies and deconstructions that are being made. Is not a dying genre, it just so happens to be mainstream right now.

Rosanne Stewart

You were rightfully indignant that Steve left an extremely-drunk Nancy at the party, but I don't think he actually did. I'm guessing he walked outside to calm down and saw Jonathan bring her out a minute later. When they talked the next day he told her that Jonathan took her home and Jonathan said that Steve had asked him to.

Mister Lou

everybody stopping and starring at Nancy's Dramatic outburst seems extremely accurate, considering the fact that EVERYONE loves Drama and in those times no one had phones to record and share for later. You have to forget everything else and focus on what's going on, so you can remember the truth and embellish where ever you want. because no one's got proof to prove otherwise..

im curious about, if you have noticed that Bob is portrayed by Sean Astin (Samwise Gamgee from LotR). Its really cool, that he has a very similar role in Stranger Things. Being a nice, caring and calming personality :D

Balkyne

Back in highschool even in 2010 if a single person smashed something in a packed and busy canteen everyone would stop and jeer so yeah this is normal lol
