A reaction to Drive? My heart 💗 This movie, its pace, the intense emotions, tension, and longing mixed with bursts of action had me hooked. It's still one of my favorite movies. I'm so happy you reacted to it. You even made me appreciate some shots more - like the fact that the Driver was framed with photographs of Benicio and the dad a lot.

When you first posted this, I was like "Meh, I don't have any interest in this movie, and I can't find it streaming on any of the services I subscribe to, so..." but then I found an ad version on Tubi of all places, so I watched it there, pausing your reaction during the ads (thankfully you have the timer display or it would've been harder). This was NOT what I was expecting AT all. I was very pleasantly surprised by this movie, and they did a sh*tty job advertising it. I was expecting some kind of "high-octane, fast-paced" Gone In 60 Seconds/Italian Job type situation, but this wasn't that at all. Ryan Gosling's performance was weirdly haunting. It was also nice to see a lot of familiar faces that I didn't even know were in this, including Sally Sparrow ("Blink", Doctor Who) as Irene. I could have done without some of the more gruesome deaths, but eh, whaddya gonna do. At least one of them was, I think, necessary for the tragic separation of Irene and "Driver" (odd that we never get his name). But I could have gone without seeing Christina Hendrick's head blown off. Anyway, thanks for reacting to this, or I might have missed out on this movie entirely.

The advertising did a terrible job of representing the true tone of the film. Trailer companies love to do this to trick people into watching the movie but then this inevitably creates unhappy customers. Some woman tried to sue the film studio for false advertising. I am glad you enjoyed the film! It is one of my favourites
