Happy Wednesday, Natalie! :) I'm getting this downloaded right now so that I can watch it later tonight. Looking forward to watching this finale episode this evening. Have a great day today! 😊 Until the next video, Stay Golden! 💛

Think about Lucifer

Andy Crawley

I loved how in this miniseries they even managed to dramatise the exposition dumps, and make it not only easy to follow but interesting as well. Could’ve been so dry if it was written badly.

Joe Blankenship

Natalie, are we gonna watch The Book of Boba Fett together? I feel like we kinda have to after watching The Mandalorian.

David Crabtree

Such a heart warming finale!

Darryl Low

Well, we certainly got the answers we were looking for in the finale Nat. Brilliantly written and played out. I loved the scene with Boris and Legasov sitting on the bench during recess. And there's always something sobering about seeing the real people at the end of a dramatization of the events that they went through. Wow. Thanks for sharing your reaction to this show on your channel Nat. Your inciteful commentary was very moving indeed 💛

I do think this is a very important drama and shows how cultures of fear induced by political systems and decisions can have cataclysmic consequences. Sadly similar issues contributed (along with a natural disaster) to yet another nuclear incident at Fukushima showing that systems other than communism can also result in disaster.

Joe Blankenship

I saw a documentary about them building the new containment structure. It was interesting and crazy how dangerous it is and will be for a long time.

Hi Nat and thanks for the feedback! Really a fantastic series on one of the worst events of humanity, so many victims due to idiots... Really sad 😔 The acting in the show was really amazing. I can't wait for your next content, I hope you're fine, take care, be safe and stay golden! 💛

"We did everything right." Can we get A Few Good Men added to a poll?

vichnya pamyat loosely translates to eternal memory. it would be a disservice to forget the tragedy of these people and wiping away the effort of the scientists trying to tell the truth.

My friend that lives in Kiev said that this is the best program to learn about what happened in Chernobyl and she's interested in taking the tour with me when I visit. I'll let you know what it was like being there afterwards. Thank you for watching this with us. I'm sorry it was so hard on you but it is important to understand how powerful and important the truth is in everything we do.

When it comes to the cinematography and editing of this series, this is a very interesting analysis: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MljytTReJ_o

This is the 3rd time though this series for me and it hits even harder with your reaction. Thank you for pushing though this one. I was completely surprised, too, that the three divers survived. Maybe it was God that protected them since, in my view, they practically volunteered to save the planet at the cost of their own lives.

Joe Blankenship

So, what do we think.... on the Deadpool video, is Natalie going to do a little hands pressed together tiny clap at the beginning? I'm saying yes.

"Why is there a grate in the ground? You're in a room with tile walls and floor. Makes cleaning up after killing people much easier.

At the same time, this was emotionally exhausting to watch but also, very educational and interesting thing to watch, because it really happened. Also, for us who live in europe it is a interesting series, because we either remember it happening or we have relatives who lived through this time. I remember my parents and grandparents telling me (I was born few years after this) that it was really nervous time, because nobody knew what was going on there. My mother told me, that in Finland, drugstores ran out of thyroid blockers because everybody were freaking out. Anyway. Great reactions and looking forward to seeing all the good stuff coming in the future. :)

Btw there’s a Vanity Fair interview of a Chernobyl Doctor and she clarifies what parts of the show are true and what was dramatized. She goes into detail how hard it was for her to help as a medical professional bc of all the bureaucratic red tape. Should totally check it out

YouTuber Kyle Hill just posted a short film where he toured Chernobyl: https://youtu.be/3qEC-qDG0Bo

The Lannisters send their regards

After you have recovered from the stress and sadness of this show you should really watch Prisoners and Sicario.

Marty McGee

I can't think of any other series that is quite this intense. Band of Brothers and The Pacific are close, but still not quite like this. Incidentally these are my favorite 3 dramatic series based on real events. Growing up in the 80's I knew about Chernobyl, but knew hardly any details before watching this. I think it was interesting that Gorbachev wrote that it may have been the true cause of the collapse. Not only from the damage it did to the political perception and reputation, but from the sheer cost of resources and manpower involved in the cleanup. I think I read where it essentially bankrupted the government. Thanks for watching this. It is difficult and intense, but so powerful and informative. Deadpool next!!!

Kelvin

Hell of a story.

Since you loved and are big fan of Dyatlov being a total A-hole superior, you're going to love Terence Fletcher in the movie Whiplash

Alex

Watch LOST Nat!

How can we add Galavant on the watch list?

I'm looking forward to her reaction to International Women's Day.

I’m glad to have had the opportunity to watch this with you. As difficult as it is to watch, even the third time through, it is worth watching, even the third time through. I’m very much looking forward to the next series. It will be my fourth time through that one, but I’m excited to see it with fresh eyes based on your reactions.

JarHead0351

couldn't get into it for a 2nd time - it was powerful show but a once and done for me - glad you will be starting a new show

HBO really knows how to make some great works with BoB, The Pacific, and Chernobyl. I sent her a message several weeks ago suggesting BoB and The Pacific. She replied BoB is highly requested so I would expect a series reaction in the not so distant future, possibly to break up TLAB poll winner since it's a long series. Atleast thats what I hope for as I'm not a fan of that show. At some point HBO will release another WW2 mini series on the air campaign...Masters of the Air or Masters of the Sky. Was supposed to went in production 2020.

Simon Bauer

Why is there a grate in the ground... for the blood lol

Rory Owens

The scene where Legasov describes how nuclear reactors work and what went wrong that night is a tour de force. Masterful work from everyone involved, but particularly Jared Harris, who manages to make an explanation of physics and reactivity incredibly compelling.
