Been waiting for this one, I cried like a baby at the end of this episode and it hit me the hardest throughout the whole series. Maybe because I wasn't really expecting this loss for some reason lol.

MIchelle Porter

This ending was one of the best scenes of the series

Randee Carreno

Happy Wednesday, Natalie! 😊 I'm downloading this right now so I can watch it later tonight. I can't believe that we're halfway through the season already. I'm starting to pick up bits and pieces of events that lead up to the season finale episode. This has been a good season so far. Looking forward to watching this reaction this evening. Have a great day today! 😊 Until the next video, Stay Golden! 💛

Darryl Low

Happy Westeros Wednesday Nat. Saw the title of today's show and it was an immediate "oh boy" moment 💛

Ian

Happy westeros Wednesday although this episode is heartbreaking so not exactly happy hope nat has lots of tissues for this one bless her 💛 such a good episode this one though so let's get started 🙂

Anonymous

Highlight of the day! Always excited to watch these!!! <3

Choof

As for the number of ironborn yara and euron had, i just assumed there were thousands who supported him not there and they wanted to save on extras or cgi since it wasn't needed

Anonymous

Yeah In the books it described the drowned ceremony, and they would drown their future king to death and if they don't die then they know they were true ironborn.

Anonymous

And that's how they crown a new ruler on the Iron Islands.

Mike Adams

Read somewhere that the dick-shot was in response to a lot of people complaining that there was A LOT more female nudity than male, so the creators did this shot to try to even things out.

Anonymous

Quick info during the watch... We saw Theon's dick in season 1. There have been a few earlier in the show. This isn't the first time. And that's how they crown a new ruler on the Iron Islands. Also, they can't pay 1000 extras. Euron had a massive following.

My Toasty Toast

“It’s not exactly Shakespeare” actually I think it’s exactly like Shakespeare 😂

Tadpoleaxe

White Walkers or if you'd rather, Wight Walkers. Not Night Walkers or Knight Walkers. Although if you called them Kunigit Walkers I'd be ok with that.

Patrick W

If you think that's not Shakespeare then you don't know Shakespeare, lol.

Anonymous

Yara and Theon didn't have the support of just like 10 iron born. It's just part of the show, you have to imagine everything much bigger. The Iron Islands, Castle Black... everything looks small, because production has its limits. Castle Black should be HUGE but populated by a few hundred men, and we never see more than like 20. Same for the Iron Islands. Yara and Theon could have the support of some of the people on the Iron Islands but not the majority of them. And obviously those people were more than the 10 or 20 you see fleeing with them. TV shows have limitations, even this one :D. When you read the books, your imagination can make things as big as they need to be, but not on TV I guess.

K.N.

I feel like someone should point out how cool it is that the "Hold the door" = "Hodor" thing has been setup since the beginning of Season 1, only to be paid off 6 seasons later. I thought Nat would find that pretty cool, but I get that she was upset in the moment. A lot of characters on the show don't get great deaths...at least Hodor got an amazing sendoff!

Ellis Hugh

The 'ritual' of the Ironborn is for someone to be drowned and then be brought back to life via 'sacred ritual' (CPR, though they didn't do it in the show), hence the rallying cry "what is dead may never die!"... Yara took all the Ironborn who were loyal to her (the minority but still a lot) and used them to steal a bunch of ships, but not all.

My_Cousin_Mose

LMAO this was hilarious! Should be titled 'Natalie sees penis and is lowkey pissed the rest of the episode.' In all fairness I agree with just about all of your criticisms its just funny how bitter you were about everything in this episode.

Anonymous

Yeah the Summer death scene was like saying that The summer is ended and Winter is coming. I agree the seasons after 4 and 5 since they went away from the books went towards the Television tropes and cliches.

Thomas Yanez

It is White Walkers, regardless of how you'd rather. Wights are the zombies. But, yeah, it is amusing how this deep in to season six she is still saying "Night Walkers".

Anonymous

Gosh the quality of this show has dropped so much. I was cringing through half the damn episode. I might honestly have to stop watching this series if things don't improve.

Thomas Yanez

Wow. It is unfortunate that her bias towards the later seasons, apparently well established before she'd even watched any of them, eclipsed one of the most tragic moments in the entire series. Season Six really doesn't deserve it. Even with the well-deserved disappointment that some character choices in 7 and 8 will engender, the shows still have their highlights and are not universally "bad". There are still some amazing moments to come, some very well-earned moments, and now I wonder if it will all just be lost in this blanket of disdain Nat seems to have for the show in general.

MertzRocks

Theon with Roz, Olyvar at the brothel and that actor are the only ones I recall but yeah, it was done before. Certainly there is more gratuitous vag in the show... but it all seems to work, imo.

MertzRocks

I haven't read the books but I still noticed that going "toward the TV tropes and cliches" as well. It's a bit obvious in fact but... there are still plenty of great moments ahead.

Paul Gibbons

Dude, you been reading Martin's Wiki page cause that is exactly why Martin wrote the books due to those Tv limitations you just listed.

Dante

This is one of the better episodes in the entire series lmao what

Darryl Low

I think it's fair to say that this one frustrated the hell out of you Nat. I think it comes down to consistency in the writing. The same problems have occurred in The Walking Dead. If the writers want the characters to survive a horde of zombies, they will. But if they want to make a dramatic statement and kill someone off, then they will change the rules to do so. Stay the course. In Nat we trust, to get us to the end of this journey 💛

Dante

It’s honestly getting a little upsetting how biased Nat is now against this show. Her GoT reactions used to be my favorite out of anyone’s, but the constant nitpicking and calling things “convenient” when they aren’t even convenient really takes me out of the reaction. It sucks because this season is so good but it looks like all the comments got to her. This episode, particularly the ending, is absolutely amazing but I feel like Nat is trying to find as much bad as she possibly can and ignoring all of the good.

Anonymous

The cock shot was such a disingenuous way to answer critics. Female nudity is always presented in an alluring way (Ros' death being the only exception I can think of), it's never "look at this unpleasantly lit, extreme closeup of my STD-riddled junk!"

Tadpoleaxe

This is my own theory that lets me get through an upcoming WTF moment and still enjoy the show. So here goes. The next time we see "milk of the poppy" imagine that it also contains a magic healing potion handed down by the givers family. Yes, this is a bit of a spoiler. Feel free to castigate me. But this theory is the only thing that allows me to get through the most BS moment in the entire show.

David Dotting

"None of this makes any sense." You should put that on a shirt. I'd buy it.

Martin Firth

I think you need to give this show the benefit of the doubt Natalie or pick a new one. There's only so many times we can hear "I'm confused, this doesn't make sense" about stuff that makes perfect sense to the rest of us.

Jai Nelson

I always enjoy your reactions, but you’re definitely in a minority being frustrated by this one. It’s one of the most beloved episodes of the show. This season has 3 of the best episodes in the whole show in my opinion, I hope you start to enjoy it more, cuz you’re bumming me out lol

Dante

In many, many people’s opinion this season has 3 of the best episodes in the whole show. This season as a whole was extremely well received and is in many fans top 2, and I would even say a majority of fans top 3 seasons. It almost seems like Nat is trying to dislike it now.

Ellis Hugh

Not all heroes wear capes... some just Hold the Door. Gotta take a minute to appreciate such a powerful payoff to a minor mystery set up all the way back in the third or fourth episode. I worry that Natalie may have become a little prejudiced against the many, many amazing moments that we still have ahead by all the people complaining about the latter seasons and is just starting to look for flaws and disappointments ahead of time. I really hope that isn't/doesn't become the case.

Dante

Except a lot of the things she says doesn’t make sense in this show actually do

Thomas Yanez

I do hope you bring this up again when the scene you mention occurs because I cannot imagine what it might be. I can think of a few scenes that might involve milk of the poppy, but not anything that would qualify as "the most BS moment in the entire show".

David Dotting

Some of these plot points and payoffs were frustrating for plenty of people back when it happened. The ability for time travel to influence people like Hodor was absolutely roasted by my watch group when it aired.

Anonymous

Her boyfriend seems to be reading a lot of the bitter comments and has negatively tainted her view of the show! This a great episode, and a the best season of GOT!

David Dotting

Season 6 has plenty of absolutely pants on head plot points and conveniences. The highs of the season just make up for it, in my opinion. It's not bias to call out nonsensical or incredibly convenient things.

MertzRocks

I for one am actually glad I did not read any of the books first and even wish I hadn't read the Harry Potter books before seeing the movies (I saw the 1st one b4 reading). Even though I was a bit disappointed with the last several episodes (maybe even a lot of S7 & S8), I still enjoyed Game of Thrones from beginning to end. Some of the best TV ever produced, imo along with the Galactica reboot and Breaking Bad... a few other shows, too.

Anonymous

The last 3-4 seasons of this show definitely has some great moments but not great episodes, I think 'Hold the door' is one of them fwiw, but most of them are almost certainly written by Martin and will appear in the books as well (fingers crossed they come out). I think a good analogy is, imagine someone gives you a list of places to visit and instead of following the roads to each place like any sensible person would expect, you drive in a straight line to each place.

My_Cousin_Mose

Everyone is complaining about Natalie not liking this season as much and blaming the negative comments. Maybe it's just because the quality simply HAS dropped. I realize I'm in the minority here, but I stand by everything I've ever said about the latter seasons.

Anonymous

Hope all the crybabies in this forum is happy that you managed to ruin her enjoyment of this series.

My_Cousin_Mose

The proper way to have handled that would have been to say "F*** off and stop whining."

Anonymous

Lol well she hated one of the better episodes of the season. Fun fact this hodor reveal was straight from the author and one of the most beloved scenes by all the fans of the show. It’s ok , I noticed she is sometimes really literal and struggles with fantasy

Paul Gibbons

Yes but Martin will take several detours, retrace his steps and arrive next week.

Dante

Yeah that’s not true tho. It’s very clear the comments have swayed her views as she spends much more time trying to seek out bad writing and playing “gotcha” with the writers. I guarantee if she didn’t have these preconceived notions put in her head she’d be watching the show through a different lens and a different light. We’re humans, when 100s of people are telling you to expect shit you’re going to expect shit that’s just how it is.

Anonymous

The later seasons have gotten much worse. That's a simple, but unfortunate fact. If you are unwilling to accept that... well, sounds like a YOU problem.

MisturSmith

I have been following these reactions religiously since they started, unfortunately after seeing all the frustrated comments here I think I'll be skipping this episode. It seems like maybe Natalie has become quite biased against the series due to negative anticipatory comments made by commenters and her boyfriend and its making her GOT reactions a bit overly critical lately. Its a well known opinion that many share, that the quality of the show degrades quickly in these last few seasons, but I think a first time binge watcher would have a much more positive experience if this wasn't rubbed in their face constantly, making them super vigilant in looking for issues.

Anonymous

I suppose if you're the type of person who finds "lol varys no cock" type of humor funny, you would enjoy these shit seasons. Shame the there are so many low-IQ people on the internet.

Brandon

The idea for the Hodor thing came from George RR Martin, but the context and execution of that idea in this show has nothing to do with him. Same with Shireen or anything else that happens after they stopped directly adapting his book material. That's all I can really say about it. Whether it came from George or not, I think the basic idea of what's happening to Hodor makes sense in a storytelling way in the moment. That doesn't mean it holds up to logic because IMO it sort of makes less and less sense as you think about it more and more. It's still a very powerful moment, but not one of the best episodes of the series...IMO. To say it's one of the most beloved scenes by all fans is only... mostly true.

Derik Knutson

Honestly I think you should just stop now. I commented this on the last episode but at this point you're bound and determined to get annoyed by the show, even though this is one of the best seasons and this is an all-time fan favorite episode. Or maybe just finish the season and then don't watch 7 and 8. You won't enjoy it and I'm sure your viewers will have a hard time enjoying watching you complain about almost every scene.

MisturSmith

Just to clarify this isn't me saying "You're reacting the wrong way!!" Natalie, I'm just concerned that perhaps your opinion of the show has been adversely affected by the overly negative crowd. The reactions are starting to feel predetermined negative rather than fresh and unbiased, because you're expecting it to be bad.

Dante

The execution of Hodor in the show is done well though. There’s really nothing to complain about there.

Anonymous

"this is an all-time fan favorite episode" why do certain types of people (mainly those who don't read nor understand the books) repeat this lie? This is far from the best episode, and every reputable ASOIAF expert, me included, rates it far below top 10.

Thomas Yanez

Same goes for often reacting to a character's actions (or lack thereof) while using a modern perspective, instead of evaluating it from the perspective of the world the character actually inhabits. Most of the people in Westeros do not enjoy the freedom of self-actualization and any attempt to step out of their role will result in immediate, violent and/or deadly repercussions

Anonymous

Summer is lost to winter, Bran Stark looses his direwolf and his last connection to the starks to become the three eyed raven. (Mirroring the Arya and her path to become no one) It's not gratuitous it's symbolism, understand that some choices seem convenient if judge in just the moment, let the series play out.

Paul Thomas-Humphreys

There are some incredibly rude people in these comments today. If you like the episode, good for you. If not, don’t watch it. Go and read another book.

Anonymous

The Hodor situation and what happens to him is cannon. Just FYI

Tyler

This is everyone's friendly reminder that this is only a TV show 🙂

Anonymous

there are books i'd love to see made into films or series, but i also know they might not get the justice they deserve! (things like Iain M Banks 'Culture' novels). GoT is what it is, good or bad.

panacamanana

SUSPENSION OF DISBELIEF. LEARN THIS PHRASE.

Anonymous

Good reaction Natalie. This is only the second time I've seen this episode and I'm pretty much in lock step with your observations and comments.

Pajander

The problem isn't Summer dying, but the way it was directed. He just suicided himself like an idiot.

Laura Thornley

There were some penises in the show beforehand - just not close ups.

Pajander

Suspension of disbelief doesn't mean you're supposed to suspend all disbelief when you're watching fiction. The ability of a piece of fiction to make you suspend disbelief is earned (or not) by the writers with internal logic and with characters that behave as themselves, not as the plot requires. If the writing is good enough, small problems won't matter. If not, the whole thing starts to fall apart.

Brandon

Hooo boy these comments. And it's not even season 8 yet. Whether you were a book reader or not, by season 6 the shine was off the apple for a lot of people. It's plain to see that death has less meaning in these later seasons, even though this Hodor scene is a decent example of when they got it right, IMO. I can't even get into specifics without spoiling... but death is a lot more easily cheated in later episodes. When something goes down in season 6-8 just ask yourself if that character would have escaped that scenario alive in seasons 1-4 or even in 5. There's something coming up in a few episodes that is so infuriating that I still want to rip my hair out to this day. And stop saying Nat has been poisoned by these comments. LOL she can think for herself as she watches along and make up her own mind about whether she agrees or disagrees with these comments. Honestly, it feels EXACTLY like when the series was originally airing and the people who were still loving it decided to condescend to those with actual critiques on a show where they thought the writing was starting to slip.

Simon Bauer

forgot about that dick shot xD tits n ass are okay dicks are gratuitous haha. but yeah I agree the manner in which they did that was really jarring. Get ready to start critiquing S7 a lot more! I wonder if Hodor always knew how he was going to die... since he was yelling it out when he had that seizure

Dante

Nat has been poisoned by the comments. That’s an objective fact regardless of whether or not the writing has declined. As human beings, it’s literally impossible for us not to have preconceived notions put in our heads when 100s of people are constantly feeding us the same shit. She is 100% viewing this show differently than she would have if she just watched on her own with no feedback from anyone.

Laura Thornley

Also, the Kingsmoot makes more sense in the books. But I'll explain a bit - the people around Euron are the leaders of houses, whereas the ones with Yara and Theon are normal Ironborn. So Euron has a LOT more actual Ironborn with him, just not present at the Kingsmoot itself.

Anonymous

Ok I am done. Natalie has already made up her mind about this show. Would have been better if she stayed away from comments until she finished the series.

john collins

Yes the dick scene was gratuitous but it wasn't the first scene with a dick in it in this show lol it really seems like you've been told the later season of the show aren't as good and are kind of looking for as many issues within these episodes as you can instead of trying to watch and enjoy. I mean this moment with hodor holding the door was one of the most powerful and important moments of the season. Just to remind you of a very important thing you seem to have either forgotten or are looking past is waaaay back when Bran escaped winterfell and would dream of the three eyed raven Jojen told him "you are the three eyed raven" and as we followed their journey we discover that Jojen had already seen everything important that would happen along their journey. When Bran first starts his training with the three eyed raven the raven told him he must learn everything to become the three eyed raven. During his training we learn that he can effect the past, not just see it, when he calls to the young version of his father and ned hears him. This is the same principle for what happens to Hodor. It also shows us that this was always Hodor's fate, in fact it fits perfectly coming right after the moment with the red priestesses speech to Varos when she says everyone is where they need to be when they need to be. Like Varos never would have made it where he is if he was never mutilated, Hodor never would have become hodor if he hadn't gone with bran or if bran hadn't been in that moment in time willis never would have become hodor. His whole purpose was to hold the door so bran could escape. Also remember that the death of the stark children's wolves always means something important. I won't say exactly what now but you will understand as this season continues.

Brandon

Hey, am I totally crazy here or didn't Nat mention in an earlier episode that she was avoiding these comments for awhile anyway? LOL

Jai Nelson

Well she caught the “hating democracy” comments from last episode, so I think she’s back to reading them. And boy are the comments rough on her today lol

Kelli E.

I do think it’s a little funny calling out the hand full of “gratuitous” moments as you called them in this episode… I mean the whole show is gratuitous lol. That’s HBO for ya. I mean season one beheaded the lead character, we are constantly seeing naked women and hearing them referred to as whores, we saw a pregnant woman stabbed straight in the belly! The entirety of both Joffrey and Ramsey’s characters are gratuitous, it’s kind of just the nature of the show since the beginning! It’s definitely not easy to watch sometimes, but I definitely don’t think it’s something that just suddenly starts this season by any means.

Anonymous

She was extra fam lol. There was a dick shot just last season in Cersei’s Walk of Shame. I knew she’d be annoyed, but to let it drag on as if it was the first time a cock shots been on this show,. Yeah I agree tho it was funny to see.

Myles Away

Lol this audience is so sensitive. Natalie will not love everything. It seems most people just watch reactions to have their own fandom-feelings justified. This show takes a major downturn starting in season 6. Natalie, like the vast majority of those who watched this series unfold originally, saw this decline. Season 7 is a major drop in quality and season 8 .... yeeesh.

Anonymous

While I like reactors giving honest reactions and not liking every episode because they feel obligated to... I am bewildered that you did not like at least the ending of this one. It is - perhaps - my favorite. I am afraid for the rest of the season :/

Ian

Like yourself Nat I also like foxes we had a vixen looking after her little ones in an old abandoned swimming pool on the site we are currently working at, they have moved on now but it was lovely to see them on a daily basis unlike thier urine it's not a nice smell trust me lol 🦊

chicks dig me

Natalie looks tired. She has been sick for a few days and I think it's showing. But the sharpness of her antagonism for this episode indicates something more. There may be personal issues involved.

Pajander

I think Dorne in season 5 is where it started. Watching it for the first time, it was jarring how TV-tropey and dumb the whole storyline is. Like some Costco Xena ripoff. It even tries to ruin Oberyn's character retroactively. Why would he ever hang out with a psychotic idiot like that (which she wasn't in season 4).

Valar Dohaeris

I really feel that all your pre-judgment and foreshadowing on what's to come it's really catching up to how Natalie perceives the show. All that comments about when the show turns for the worse, when the writing stopped being based on novels... It's catching to her. Here we have an excellent example of a great episode with a pay off planted on season 1 that see want even able to enjoy... She was more worried about gratuitous penes. Congrats you are making your zombie army greater in numbers by the day.

Albiezushi

Nice Of Monsters and Men band cameo during the street play ;)

Julian Calzada

why is everyone ignore the real issue here: there was no playback countdown. my whole day is off now .__.

Travis

I agree with this. If you’re tired and not feeling well you’re most likely going to come across as more negative. I’m sure this is really starting to feel like work. She probably could use a nice break from it all.

Ashleep

Everyone is so mad Natalie is a GoT hater but I was surprised at the reaction to the male nudity--it's one thing to acknowledge the difference between how male and female nudity is used for "storytelling" in this show and in general, but to watch six seasons of brutal death/violence and be that disgusted at the fact that medieval actors probs had genitals and STDs...? And then to say the play ~wasn't Shakespeare~, hinting at quality, when Shakespeare is known for use of blatant wordplay of the day to make crude jokes...

michael denny

the people with yara were captains of their own ships same with yuron. I don't think regular people would be allowed to witness the drowning ceremony of a king

Dani

I can't believe Nat just hated on one of the highest-rated episodes lol. Am sad cuz no one disliked this season and I feel you may be influenced. Still love your videos tho.

Pascal Bouchard

It's the first time Nat cry less then I did at an episode... That ending always get to me hard

Daniel Campbell MacDonald

Seems like the constant negative comments about the later seasons has finally started doing its damage. I knew that would happen, which is why I fucking hate people who point out the show gets worse as times goes on. You never do that with any show, with any reactor. So unnecessary to do so and it fucking ruins so many reactions. Let them come to their conclusions.

Anonymous

This!!!! So much this!!!! I'm starting to dread watching these this season (and we're only at epi 5) because it feels like its just skewed by what everyone else has put in the comments.

DeadStillEating

I think we know what little finger wants, in the short term anyway. He wants the North. From there who knows where he'd be headed. And he's got a good track to it, save for the bitterness (admittedly justifiable) of Sansa. Pretty sure that's why she's keeping him a secret and lying about where she got the info about her uncle. She doesn't want everyone to know she's letting her personal feelings have such significant impact on the way of things. I expect Baelish would like to propose a marriage between Sansa and himself. This would make him lord of Winterfell and Warden of the North. A nice bump in rank for sure. One that would put him in the seat that was at one time meant for the man that beat him and stole away his love. And in exchange? Baelish brings the full force of house Aaron, which is no small thing. Where as the Starks are wardens of the north, the Aaron's are wardens of the east. Further, the Aarons haven't been in ANY of the fighting up to this point. A full Army, rested and ready. Would be all but an immediate guaranteed victory over the Boltons, who's army is made up of a portion of the North that has been through hell over the past two to three years. Vengeance for their murdered mother, vengeance for their murdered brother, a chance to save the life of (as far as they know) their only remaining relative. And, vengeance even for the violence committed against Sansa's own person. And finally, since Baelish's appointment as lord of Winterfell was already approved by cersei, his marriage to Sansa would serve to end the war with the south as well. Everyone could go home. Everyone could tend to their families and prepare for winter. But only if Sansa will submit to marriage with little finger. And while he's sorta gross and may make your skin crawl.... is he worse the Goffry? Would it be better to take the change of being back under the control of Ramsey? What will she do??????

Anonymous

Man...Euron's a butthole. Fuckin' hate that guy.

Paul Gibbons

Yes he did he literally saw his own death i believe and his mind couldn't take it.

Paul Gibbons

Strangely enough though it's Meera's voice you can hear saying hold the door.

Obsolyeet

Bran! Let go of the fucking branch! Haha. That was great.

Tom Fehr

Natalie, there are more people in the Iron Islands than they can physically put on the screen at one time. They aren't gonna use that much CGI to have that many people just for an election and aftermath scene. Use your imagination lol

Graht1

I just assumed that the men gathered there were just ships captains.

Anonymous

Wow, Nat did NOT understand this episode at ALL. One of the best and highest rated episodes in the series. And she was complaining about the silliest things lol. Except the warts, yea that was dumb.

Anonymous

Yeah she missed a lot about this episode not sure what her deal was

Anonymous

I understand the confusion, but they're white walkers not night walkers. There is the night king, but still.

Anonymous

The dogs cost them too much money, hence why we hardly saw them. And then why they looked for any oppurtunity to kill Summer.

Tom Fehr

well that was a massive bummer, i was really looking forward to this reaction since it's one of the best episodes and endings in the whole show and she seemed to be complaining the whole time.. i get that we come here for reactions and honesty is good but yikes that's disappointing

Anonymous

This was such a weird reaction episode. Not everyone on the Iron islands are on screen, there are thousands...

Anonymous

Sad she overthought so much and whiffed on an all time moment.

Allan Rumberger

Welp, I guess this is it. It was bound to happen with such a large group, but Nat's patreon has become irredeemably toxic. Thanks, fragile dudes.

Julia

I also remember not enjoying this episode, I totally disagreed with it being among the highest rated. I didn't care about the nudity bc we've seen so many women's bodies I didn't think of the nudity, but I too was yelling at the screen during most of Bran's ending scenes. Like "GET OUT WHAT ARE YOU DOING" and "That doesn't make sense the white walkers were literally climbing over the whole thing theres no way they'd get away" so I totally understand the frustration! I feel like these next few seasons you'll be thinking a lot of what I was. Sad!! Such a phenomenal show but they began to travel so quickly and things do not add up. I get they can't show every person being on the road, but time seems to pass for some but not for others.

Julia

Reacting is not always positive! You follow Natalie to see her opinion and thoughts of shows/movies you have enjoyed, but I'm sure you can admit you do not have all positive reviews of this show. It makes me sad that people are saying they will leave simply because of her honest opinions!

Lemuel Daher

She's a great reactor, but I stand by the one thing Nat can't do is bring able to roll with the punches. Like one thing happens that doesn't make sense and it turns into like an apocalyptic event. I mean, who cares about some full frontal nudity, we've had that before. And obviously the Ironborn that fled with Yara were the vassals of those lords who voted for her. Euron's lords and their bannermen simply outnumber the thousands who supported Yara. The bran fleeing scene was a bit much do I get her reaction there, but again, it's a fantasy series. Crazy shit is gonna happen.

Anonymous

Can't believe you've become so cynical and jaded towards this show in one of the best seasons, it's like watching someone trash talk a treasured memory lol, just awful...

Paul Gibbons

Hey i agree with your assessment of Thrones and thats exactly how i came yo Potter as well, would you agree that there's a few parralels with their latter adaptions to this cause i really disliked the made up Burrow fight and changes to the battle of hogwarts.

And the transition from r/gameofthrones to r/freefolk has begun.

Erik Stevenson

I didn't watch the show when it was first airing, only saw it after HBO Max came out and was equally displeased with this episode. Bran escaping that situation is one of the least believable things in the entire show IMO. A lot of people are hating on Nat in the comments with "she's now biased against the show because people talk about how bad the later seasons are" and, within that, seem to ignore why people say those things about the later seasons.

Anonymous

I don't want to add to the negative comments, but one piece of advice I have is to just not take the show as seriously from this point on and just try to enjoy what you can. If you're too harsh on all the small things it will take a lot of fun out, especially as we move through the final seasons

Anonymous

Totally get where Nat's coming from. There's some cool stuff in this episode from a storytelling perspective, but there's a ton of frustrating situations that make it hard to appreciate that could've been solved with some better writing or execution. Part of what made the earlier seasons was the genuine danger main characters faced and the tension built by anyone dying at any moment. A lot of that is waved away in favor of writing what needs to happen for the story without the escapes and wins feeling as earned. When a character dies, it feels far more frustrating when there's ten ways you could see them avoiding the situation in the first place, as opposed to their downfall being part of deliberate mistakes you see built up through an episode or season.

Michael Labs

Agreed; those images happened more naturally or organically so to speak... It wasn't a case of "Here it is!"...

Michael Labs

Interesting to watch somebody get jarred out of "suspension of disbelief". And yes, the "junk" shot definitely didn't develop naturally unlike the other three or four that were an organic "of course we'd see that" development.

Anonymous

Jeeeezus christ these comments. This is my first time reading under any of the patreon posts..and I will not make that mistake again. I hope Natalie ignores them as well. Let her have her feelings and observations. Why would you watch someone only for validation of your own thoughts?? That's so boring. Also..watching this back after original airing..a lot of it is quite riddled with holes isn't it? I think I used to make a lot of excuses for the writing and direction of the last few seasons. Much harder to ignore now. But I still enjoy it overall. I look forward to your next vid Natalie :]

"So I talked to my boyfriend and um.. He read some negative stuff on the internet about the show and um.. I've heard they changed the budget and um.. There was no more books so now it can't be good and um.. Now I search for extreme ways to criticice every episode, even if it's the smallest things u can immagine and um.. I'm gonna have hundreds of got fans paying for it while doing so." Where is the openminded, happy and warm Nat that we all came to adore from the earlier seasons? Don't get me wrong. I love watching ur reactions and I will obviously continue to do so because there is so much good to come. But if u gonna be a sissy about the smallest things and bash on stuff that even makes 100% sense it will take out the meaning of watching you watching this. I'd say do ur thing, but don't let the haters set a boring mindset for the rest of the show. Ofc u should display ur own opinion good and bad. But it's obvious to us that've followed u for some time now that this ain't all ur opinions, this is haters opinions mashed up into this grey filter that u've adopted over the last episodes. There are many parts left that u will love, some of the best, unless u gonna keep this negative attitude up during them as well. I love u.

The story of the first White Walker is kind of a heartbreaking story from 10,000 years ago. When the first men first came to Westeros, the only intelligent species that they found initially were the Children of the Forest. The first men came in taking land by force, and chopping down the weirwood trees that the Children worshipped. This started the first of several wars. Eventually, the Children, lacking the more advanced weapons of the men used their magic to even the odds, creating a new weapon. Unfortunately the Children did not have a good way to control the White Walkers. Over 6 seasons we've seen dozens of gratuitous boobs in Game of Thrones, and you get all in a lather over a single prick. I suppose it was a vain attempt to even the scales, but I'm not sure it had the desired effect. It seems that Hodor knew all along that his death would come by holding a door, but just like Leaf and Summer, Hodor did what he had to to keep Bran alive. He's as much a hero in my book as Brienne or Jon. It may not seem like he did much, but he gave Bran and Meera a chance at life.

TimTakDoh

I feel like it's time for me to take my leave. It felt like earlier this season you had heard all the people talk about how 'trash the show is after season 5'(lies) and it's now like a self fulfilling prophecy when watching/reacting. Watching this episode sealed it for me. The Hodor arc/story makes perfect sense in why he was the way he was. After this episode aired the fandom was going nuts(and obviously hurting over it) but in a good/somber way. Season 6 gets even better from here and perhaps one of the best endings for a season but I'm not going to stick around and listen to the complaining about whatever or eye rolls. Later

Rabon Kyle Ragan

We have seen so many naked bodies, brutal deaths and blood, sex and rape, plenty of penises and other parts. But yet one penis on screen and she lose it. This is a brutal and ugly show. Why do people lose it over simple human anatomy? And everyone else sees the final scene and realize it made sense, that Hodor was the way he was because Bran did what he did there. That affects the present. Its a sad sad death and life when you understand that. I really feel like people have tainted her opinions of this show by complaining about the final season. It isn't as enjoyable to watch along with now. She complains about what will a character do before just watching how it unfolds. Whatever.

Kenneth thomas

don't get me wrong i love this show, i love this season, and I even defend the last two seasons quite often. But, these later seasons def have those moments of intense emotion mixed with confusion about logic.

Erik Stevenson

"Your opinion isn't the same as mine so obviously your opinion is not your own," wild take bro.

Brandon

I still think people are kind of overreacting here. IMO season 6 is defined by three epic moments that are MOSTLY universally loved... and a whole lot of typical TV trope type stuff. So Nat didn't care for the first of these three epic moments. So what? IMO the other two "moments" are way more amazing than this Hodor thing and I'd bet money that Nat will love the stuff that's coming up... or at least like it a whole lot more. 😅 Despite everything I've said about season 6 in this and other comments - I'm a glass-half-full kind of guy. Even when the show started bumming me out, I saw it as my weekly dose of junk food that I looked forward to and loved watching every week.

Anonymous

I think the outcry to her latest reactions can be justified up to a point, but you have to be able to meet in the middle. I’ll echo others in this comment section who agreed that the dick shot was extremely jarring and most would rather not see that (idk what the big deal is in saying this the people defending this must like receiving unsolicited dick pics 💀) Aside from that though, there’s moments when it just feels like a chore to get through a scene with Nat’s reactions because she’s pointlessly rambling about something that isn’t even a big deal that happened in the past scene and completely misses context or something important. It has gotten extremely nit-picky and I cant blame people for not wanting her to notice the not important background info while completely missing the point of a scene. I will say though I have never seen someone dislike season 6 so much. Im not even sure dislike is the proper term, because I’m sure thats not how Nat would put it, but I mean Jesus can everybody just relax and watch at the end of the day? And at least try and enjoy?

Cactus Tony

Whew its been awhile since we've had a classic "nat complains 95% of the time" reaction. Still watched it, but I gotta say it gets grating eventually. Like I get not liking the penis shot but once you start going on a tangent about how you didn't like the blocking for a scene it feels like you're just looking for things to complain about and the reaction becomes hard to watch. Honestly for future reactions if you didn't end up enjoying watching whatever you were watching, can you just put that in the reaction description so we know what we're in for? This reminded me of your Martian reaction which was SUPER rough to get through since you obviously weren't onboard for the premise in the first 5 minutes of the movie and then it was just 2 hours of nitpicking and negativity. Like if this is what we're going to be dealing with going forward into the later seasons, I'd love a warning ahead of time that you didn't like the episode so we can avoid sitting through something like this again.

Anonymous

I've read the comments on maybe a handful of these episodes, only when I want to see what others thought of a particular episode. After feeling like Nat was being much more critical then normal, I had to check the comments and see if I was alone. Saw the number of comments and knew it wasn't just me before even reading them. I don't want to go from fist pumping the tv with Nat to hating the people who filled her head with this bias, but.... Sigh.

Al Baughman

That was different. "The Door" has a 9.7 rating on imdb, only a handful of episodes have a better rating.

Natalie forgot the GOLDEN rule of Reacting...if she ever understood it at all. I've seen many good reactors reach this bridge and implode because they didn't understand what they were doing and what made them successful.

Daniel Vezina

Don't worry if you feel confuse or it doesn't make sense. Now enter the world of D&D shit writing. What are they eating down there.... Jojen Paste

Opti_Frog

I think you misunderstood her reaction to the penis. Frist of all, i'm from europe and full frontal nudity has never really been an issue in european cinema. I don't have problems with nudity, and i have always found it odd that violence is ok but nudity isn't. But the problem with the penis in this episode is that it is only there to shock you. It has not plot purpose, it has no dramatic purpose. It's not someone who just happens to be naked, it is a hard cut from one scene to a close up of a cock. It is completely unnecessary. Nat did not get irritated because she saw a penis. She got irritated because she can spot bad filmmaking.

Anonymous

Even with the fleeing scene, the 3 Eyed Raven told him they’re work went done and needed to be finished quickly. I give her credit for reacting and missing some stuff, but people acting like we are being toxic or overblown simply because we saw the evidence is just as silly.

chicks dig me

Let me ask you first, what makes a reactor successful?

Anonymous

This. Sad to see so many be basically offended by this type of opinion as if we as essentially paying customers can’t say anything when the product we pay for changes. If your favorite soda stopped including the sugar that makes it sweet, you’d (rightfully) say something.

Victor Radoi

Is hard for Nat now to react on good episodes, she got spoiled with that episode in season 8 than people tell her all the time that after 5 season is getting bad and I think Tyler is GOT hater ...

John Weyen

Please don't call D.B. Weiss and David Benoff D&D. Dungeons & Dragons deserves better than to be associated with them.

John Weyen

Everybody here needs to chill out. Nat is entitled to her opinions and if she doesn't like this episode then she doesn't like it.

Anonymous

i agree, however this part of the series still makes sense, and she is dismisssing it as BS without giving it a shot first, and trying to understand, like she used to do, and i think people are a bit upset because there's plenty of reason to believe she has been corrupted by some biased hating on the show. Just watch the recap of season 5

chicks dig me

Do people here have any idea how much revenue Natalie generates from her Patreon account? She has around 4800 patrons. Patreon claims setting up as they suggest, $1, $5, $10 (and one or more higher levels that dont move the dial much) will average 7.50-8.50 per ''donation''. $8 X 4800 is $38,400 per month, X12 is $460,800 per year. And that doesnt include what she gets from YouTubes monetization program which must be 100-200,000. Natalie does gangbusters off her channel and should be able of take a few tomatoes and arrows along the way to the bank. No need to cry for her, she's doing quite well.

John

I am so confused by this reaction. You were saying you didn’t understand the ending and that it made no sense but it made all the sense in the world as to why hodor became hodor. At this point is just rambling just to ramble. I think everyone loved this episode especially the end but somehow you didn’t understand what was going on

John

I can only imagine her reaction to episode 9 and 10. Arguably the two best episodes of the entire series. If she doesn’t enjoy them then I’m convinced this show is just a chore for her .

Anonymous

I only hope Nat would see some of this comments including my own and Keep an open mind regarding the rest of the series. There is a lot o great stuff coming along with winter. It would be a shame if she simply dismissed it as nonsense. If you expect something not to make sense, it tends not to make sense. But there is some sense to it all, its just a bit harder to find, and you dont even pay the required atention to know why some of it is going on, so dont dismiss it all, you could be wasting a great story

Anonymous

One of my favorite episodes just for the ending. Hodor knowing how he would die this entire time, and still going.

MakaPeji

RIP to my boy Sumnmer, my boy Hodor, my girl Leaf and my boy the Three Eyed Raven. Please stop reading the comments Nat. Stay blessed.

Anonymous

c'monnnnnn nat, the hold the door revelation was a huge moment. sad you didn't dig it at all :(

Conzi

I've gotten the vibe since Nat heard the writing was going downhill that she started looking for things that don't make sense and that are bad as a first reaction. I do thing the writing gets a lot weaker once it got off the books, but also there's a lot of very clever moments that you have to think about for a moment that are lost if you immediately dismiss it.

Conzi

Well yeah, but it's also something people are passionate about and care enough about to be paying money every month to watch someone react to it. People identify with the drama in this story like humanity identifies with so many other stories and those stories become a part of you. Of course people are gonna get heated haha.. but yeah, also chill people.

Topher Cast

Talk about overthinking a FANTASY show. They can't include every little detail from the books on episodes. It's weird cause Nat hasn't overthought shit this hard before. Like to the point of annoyance. Haha like parts where she's like that doesn't make sense, I'm like, what show do you think you're watching! Lol

Anonymous

Yeah I agree a lot with these people nat. For one you misunderstood the Hodor scene. And summer isn't ghost. Not important compared to ghost. Even tho season 6 and 7 haven't been written and you heard that the seasons not written yet are bad, please don't take it to heart. Season 6 and 7 might be the best season of them all. Please just don't take what you heard about the unwritten seasons to heart. They are really great and just don't want you to become biased. Granted there is a moment that sucks but we will discuss it when your there.

Anonymous

Curious why things don't make as much sense? Welcome to the post George R R Martin GoT series. D&D (lovingly referred to as Dumb and Dumber) took over after season 5. Get used to things not making sense.

Lemuel Daher

Also shitting on the blocking for a scene for that long and the nudity? Damn... it gets grating

Anonymous

Yeah I straight up cried for that. Nats reaction was very surprising. Thought Hodor deserved that

Season 6 is the favorite among fans. Just look it up

Nat you seemed overly hateful this episode :( I was not expecting that but I respect your opinion. Hopefully you're able to enjoy the rest of season 6! Stay golden...

Calo Grsf

Hi Nat and thanks for your reaction! I understand your point of view and your frustration about the events (deaths of characters you like, too many ellipses, can't deny the lack of quality writing in a general way...), but I really hope you'll enjoy several other moments in the next episodes and seasons. I hope you're fine, take care, be safe and stay golden! 💛

Anonymous

Well I consider the Hodor moment one of the top 10 moments of the series but you were negative about the entire episode.

Jenny Tolls

I don't think seeing the cock was that big of a deal lol

Dani

Of course Nat is entitled to her own opinions but it's sad cuz no one hated any season of Game of Thrones except for the last one and it seems like Nat is trying hard to find flaws and this was honestly one of the best episodes of the show, and that isn't just my opinion cuz even ratings suggest the same thing.

Aaron

No one is asking you to pander to the die hard fans who love everything about this show, but you don't need to pander to the people who love hating everything about the show either. As a simple observer who can't read your mind... that's kinda what it looks like.

Anonymous

Her points are totally valid. The writing begins to fall off in season 5 and progressively gets worse without the source material. I don't notice it this much this season because a lot of my favorite moments happen in season 6.

Anonymous

It’s getting really Game of Thrones up in here.

Aaron

For everyone who likes to talk shit about the show's writers, go read the books. George is not that good of a writer either. Everything after the 2nd half of the 3rd book was a CHORE to get through for me. And at least the show's writers actually finished the story...

Mister Lou

I have so much problems with all these "problems" you seem to be having. and I was just going to come down to the comments and say my peace and let people tare me to shreds for not liking your own unique take on this show. but from what I'm seeing in these previous comments is that I'm not alone in this. talking over dialog. something you're doing a bit too much and too loud. sometimes you're asking questions-actually, more like- yelling out questions when people talking in the scene and are answering the very thing you're so curious about. might I suggest taking notes and just jotting down a question or two for yourself to go over in an after show recap or something? you're starting to be very nit picky over all the wrong things. like a "long gratuitous cock shot" there's been nudity in this show since forever, get over it! or fox hides "DO THEY REALLY NEED THE HEAD AND THE TALE?" umm how else would you know if it's a fox? also I never noticed until now that it was a fox. because who gives a shit?

Anonymous

A wolf would indeed face off against unwinnable odds to protect the pack, just as portrayed in the show. It indeed was a horrifying way to die; and being art, the show is intended to make you feel. To feel the horror of what "winter is coming" actually means, and not just see it from afar. You are angry that the show made you feel what you did not want to feel, but it was not "gratuitous"; all of the bitterness of this episode was a main plot point of the whole series.

Anonymous

Wow, Natalie took Hodor's death rather well.

chicks dig me

Personally, I found the comment about Bailish's blocking to be gratuitous.

Joe D. MacGuffinstuff

Oof, a lot has been said, I had a lot to say as well but I'd rather just say, finish the season Natalie, it's not perfect, but nothing is and there's just so much more in later seasons before you truly understand why the most hardcore fans got really pissed off 😂 That said, I still f"ckin love this show, name a better one (besides Breaking Bad) that isn't flawed...

Paul Gibbons

Reason Breaking Bad gets the pass is they got out early you get past 5 seasons and the worm turns on every show and the moaning begins.

Colton Scott

I've been rewatching for the first time in a long time, and I forgot about that wang shot. So unnecessary 😄

Paul Gibbons

I like your bravery to say that and i agree books 4&5 where a chore to get through considering its really just 1 long book split up, we spent very little time with our OG characters going nowhere.

Paul Gibbons

It's not like the other Dire-wolves have done well Lady got executed by Ned for something Nymeria did and she was shooed off, they didn't last half S1. Grey Wind got bolted in a cell at the red wedding and Shaggydog met a similar fate probably. At least Summer went down like a warrior.

WackySwacky

Include every little detail? Bro, they straight up didn't adapt books 4 and 5. They just took a handful of moments out of context, changed how characters behaved, and then made up their own story. Fantasy doesn't mean the show makes no sense. Every story is grounded by the rules set by the author. For instance, would you like it if Luke Skywalker walked out of a dimensional portal into Mereen and just starting killing Dany's dragons with his lightsaber? It's a fantasy show so I guess that would make sense to you? No?

WackySwacky

Bold of you to assume people are still fans of this show after what happened to it.

WackySwacky

Book readers disliked the show after the end of Season 4. If you knew what could have been, versus what we got, you would understand. Show watchers tend to hate only seasons 7 and 8. But you know, you can't blame them. They don't know what could have been.

WackySwacky

It's like the butterfly effect. The showrunners kept making these small, little changes here and there. Then, every season, they would make more and more changes, until season 5 came along and they realized that they've written themselves into a corner. They've cut so many crucial characters and plot points from the books that by Season 5 they were no longer able to properly adapt the stories of books 4 and 5, only parts of them. This ruined the story of the later seasons of the show.

Paul Gibbons

That's BS that's not an average donation I would have thought most people are on the $4 level and she'll be lucky to get half of that and the youtube money is a fraction of that another youtuber i watch said he got about $800 for a half mill views totalling about 1.2 mill minutes.

Paul Gibbons

Martin's the one who wrote himself into a corner.

Coojw

I've enjoyed pretty much every one of your reactions but this one. I know you don't owe anything to anyone here, but the negativity was hard to watch from you during this episode. You kept saying things aren't making sense, but while you were talking the things you said didn't make sense were being addressed, or about to be addressed. Give the show time to bring things together. Sometimes its tied off in the same episode, sometimes its several episodes later.

Coojw

Also, if you haven't picked up on this yet, Bran's power traverses both time and space at the same time. So him worging into Hodor during his vision played with something that he shouldn't have played with. Bran caused a paradox that resulted in Hodors disability, all so that Hodor could be in that exact place to save Bran in the future.

Brian Jones

I would argue, as Paul did below, that the person who wrote themselves into a corner was Martin. The show is just going off cliff notes from here on out, but it's still Martin's story.

Brian Jones

Yeah, but it's a lame complaint honestly... Unless you're going to call out all of the other gratuitous nudity in the show, of which there is a lot.

warcrimes

Huh, figured this would happen eventually. I do not agree with a single criticism you had here.

Krystal

wow no appreciation for Hodor payoff... fair enough.

Paul Gibbons

Martin's and the shows problems can be traced back to the beginning, it's on his Wiki page. He started writing novels again because the tv pilots and screenplays he wrote were not getting made because of limitations on budgets and episode lengths were forcing him into cutting characters and battle scenes and was compromising his visions and then the books got made into tv and that very thing happened. The real shame is it was starting now Netflix or Amazon could afford to go all out in a way Hbo never were.

Michael Patrick

Hodor’s sacrifice/reveal was the first time that I cried my eyes out watching this show backed when it aired. Different strokes for different folks I guess.

Michael Patrick

I love Season one episode 1 up until the final shot of the series so I do hope Nat finds the positives of these final three seasons

Elvenwitch

But she is totally correct. With few exceptions, the story has gone off the rails. D&D tried to cram way more story into fewer episodes, so you end up with the TV version of fast travel and plot holes you could drive a truck thru. Unfortunately, it only gets worse (again with few exceptions), culminating in the dumpster fire of the last season. I very much love GoT, both the books and the show. Still, the showrunners began attempting to craft their own version of this reality starting in season 2, and every season after, it just moves further and further away from the coherent story of the books.

Erik Stevenson

It doesn't look like that though? She noted the things she didn't like. She's not "pandering" just because she doesn't like some things that other people do like.

Anonymous

Maybe hes just not a very good writer afterall. Being concise and finishing the story is the core concept of writing. He seems like someone who bogs down his ideas because he gets too many, and in the end it becomes a clumped mess. In reality he will likely never finish the last book.

Jakob

Six seasons of a show about Zombies and Dragons but this episode is where things suddenly become unbelievable? Yeah okay, On one of the best episodes of the series as well. Such a shame.

Opti_Frog

Shitting on the final seasons is the most fun you can have with them.

Nat woke up and chose violence lol

A Vicarious View

ugh. This is one of my favorite episodes of the series and I have to pause. As someone who has performed Shakespeare and even attended a workshop with the players at The Globe Theatre, YES...this is very representative of authentic Elizabethan Theatre of the time. You'd be surprised how much gag humor and fart jokes they had. It was very popular with simpler street audiences. The books also better portray the massive game of telephone happening across the continents. Events will happen to one character and another character will hear of is but all the details have changed or it barely resembles what truly happened. How are these players to know what actually happened in kings landing? They only know what they've heard and then adapted it to be entertaining to the people in the streets looking to escape their problems for an hour. This is the 7th (yes Seventh!!!) penis in the show. I thought an adult would be less squeamish about basic human anatomy. STD's were a real concern and in a show with as much nudity and sex as it does, this is the first time it was ever brought up. Can we be adults about it? Seriously. 🤨 Also, for a people as disrespectful as the Iron Islands, you expect too much. You also complained so much that you didn't pay attention to the Kingsmoot that was happening in front of you. They did it according to their traditions and custom and I thought was done well for what it was. Let's see if I can get through the rest of this episode, let alone continue my patronage if this is gonna be the trend for the rest of the series. It's like you're just looking for problems now that aren't there. *long sigh

A Vicarious View

One of the most tragic deaths in the series that was set up in the first book/season that had me bawling when I saw it and Nat didn't even understand it.....😐

The people of the Iron Islands are a true democracy ... Mob rule. There is nothing to be respected about those who believe "might makes right," majority rule, the strong should crush the weak. Democracies die very quickly, which is why it is to be avoided at all costs.

Cripkie

the books were written for a niche, these later seasons were written by tv writers for the masses.

shame i was really looking forward to this EP the whole time. TOP 5 of the show for me.

BNJ

"I'm so confused, I don't understand!, This doesn't make sense!" should be Nat's motto for this show LOL I've seen a bunch of reactions to this episode, this one is by far my favorite!

BNJ

I'm sorry, no true fan of the show would ever think seasons 6 and 7 are the best seasons. No way.

Laura Thornley

Heck, I still well up a bit. More now at seeing young Hodor's distress, since the shock of seeing older Hodor die has diminished - but seeing whoever did the acting be so convincing is really tough to watch.

BNJ

LOL! Every single reactor bawled their eyes out over that scene and she was just like *shrug* whatever. 😂. Definitely my favorite reaction to this episode!

Nicholas Hentges

Yeah I remember loving this episode, but her criticisms were so valid that I was taken out of Hodor's death too. It is unfortunate that she knows the later seasons are trash, because she is looking for it at this point, but the fault is definitely the writers because they do spend time making dumb choices to undercut their grand finale. Sorry if you like the later seasons (because apparently there are like 8 people making 20 or 30 comments a piece who REALLY liked the last few seasons). I just dont. Great reaction though Nat, don't let the internet weirdos get you down, their maximum of 10 bucks a month to you is not worth it, you can always create a higher tier to offset some of them leaving if they want to spend elsewhere.

Anonymous

"What are they eating?" well.. Jojen.. for a start..

Brandon

You know, if you scrub through this reaction again, you'll very clearly see Nat enjoying the scenes that have nothing to with Braavos or Bran. This reaction and the comments section along with it should be titled "Kingsmoots, Cocks and Broken Screenplays".

Xenic Mark

Not Gonna lie. The constant complaining about things that have been in the show is kinda getting to me. There has been gratuitous nudity and death since season 1. I just feel like you heard the series starts to get worse after season 5 (which yes in a way it does) and now all you can see is all the things you don't like. Which kinda sucks. And that play was spot on. Its not funny because you know the characters and what actually happened. How do you expect the people of Bravos to know. I just hope the rest of it isn't going to be like this. And I know people will say its her opinion. Which is ok. But I watched Nat get through WandaVision and there's so much to point out about that show that doesn't make sense. So I just feel like there's a bias here. Then again I suppose its a reaction so, it can be anything really. Just hope its not going to be like this for all the remaining episodes.

Stefan Johannsson

I think I just came to the realization of the fact of how annoying you can be. And critical of everything that doesn't make sense "to you". Lol. Like if something doesn't "make sense to you" then it just shouldn't be. If you don't "understand" something then you just poop on it with your lack-of-understanding-certain-things opinions, lol. I'm unsubscribing. cheers

Anonymous

I'm sorry, I never comment on here, but i gotta say that this was just so hard to watch without cringing. It's the always pointing out details & flaws, and asking question after question. And the constantly blurting out predictions anytime something happens. You sound like a whiny film critic to the point where at this point ur just ruining ur own immersion and also ruining what could be a good genuine reaction to an actual great show. and the comments don't look good lol yikes

Sir_Dalagad

Those aren't all the people of the iron islands, those were the captains. Each represents many men and ships and resources. There's some harsh posts here about this episode. But, it's okay for you to question little details in the show. We all do. Perhaps you could get answers and mention them as an edit at the end of the episode, at the start of the next episode, or at the end of the season.

This comment section has not passed the vibe section. I'm usually just a lurker, but I feel like I should voice my support to try and balance out a lot of the unnecessary hate. Great reaction Nat. There's been plenty of times where we haven't agreed on a piece of art/entertainment, but that's one of the best parts of watching a reaction! Thanks for sharing your perspective.

Imagine paying someone to watch their reaction of a tv show, and then bitching when they don’t like everything you like about it. The entitlement 😂. I never thought I’d see so many people throw tantrums about how someone watches a tv show lol

Damn, it must be disheartening to realize that your most vocal "fans" are maladjusted morons willing to snap at you for valid criticisms of a work that they uncritically admire.

I agree with Natalie, at this point in the show, things start getting sloppy. If that bothers you, I don’t give a shit, it’s my opinion not yours. Don’t be a bunch of Karen’s, if you are so upset by this reaction, unsubscribe and move on.

People really got in her head. She is obviously not expecting to enjoy these episodes at all anymore, and it's just a self-fulfilling prophecy at this point. She has heard so much bad about the last seasons that she keeps looking for every tiny bit of inconsistensy. If this is where these reactions are heading, I'm out.

Gryff

Good honest reaction. You are where a lot of us were during the show. Confused, lost as to what is going on and seeing vast inconsistencies. I started enjoying the show at this point for other things. The fantastic sets, Incredible costuming, and the ability of the cast to pull through rough episodes of not great writing. Looking forward to more reactions!

Gryff

Please stop trying to tell someone how they obviously feel. Step off.

I’m not here to comment on the episode or the reaction. I just noticed how many comments there were and wanted to be a part of things, lol. Love the channel. Watching along with someone with a different opinion than my own is more fun than living in a bubble :)

I realize you hate it when the dire wolves die but haven't you noticed the fate of the wolf is tied to the fate of the character? Bran is no longer Bran. The three eyed raven told Bran that he would take his place. As such, Bran is no more, so Summer had to go. This is just like at the red wedding, you already know what's going to be Rob's fate when they kill his wolf.

That's interesting man as Nymeria gets shooed off after Arya adds the first and Sansa loses Lady when she realises Joffrey isn't the prince she hoped for.

Wow, there are a lot of strong and obnoxious opinions here. Like, I dig the show, I really dig this episode, and Natalie doesn't, and neither do a lot of you, and that's totally ok. Show haters, people who love the show aren't basic. Show lovers, Natalie is allowed to think some episodes are dumb or make no sense. Uniformity of opinion is boring as shit. That's why reaction videos are cool, it's an opportunity to engage over art, and that sometimes means someone is going to disagree with you. If you don't like that, then maybe you shouldn't watch reaction videos. Also, not for nothing, but if Natalie was a male reactor, I don't believe so many people would be telling her her opinion was influenced by commenters or by her boyfriend. That's some sexist shit right there.

I'll be honest. This is the first time I rewatch GOT after the season 8 ends. Nat seems like a chill reactor to watch along with. I watched all the Firefly reactions and she didn't criticize harshly for weaker scenes and writing. I hoped that I'll probably enjoy season 7-8 more if I rewatch it with her reaction. I'm sad that I was wrong, though I don't blame her. I agree, the writing of the show is weaker for this season. But to me it's still good for most TV shows. If you apply the same critic mindset to any shows you'll run into the same problem.

Welcome to no longer having source material.

I think Littlefinger did that pause b/c of his own akward attempt to keep up his charade. He was still playing the version of himself before Sansa changed and hardened. The pacing is changing as the events begin to speed up. I know a lot of people didn't like that but I think it flows as it should. Martin intended this I think, even the last book has a different feel as all things rush towards winter. Just my gut reaction. I think some of the hatred is misplaced. The destiny of Hordor and how it was meant to be is exquisite.

They showed the penis because at the time there was actually quite a bit of penis that they were showing full female nudity but would "discriminate" against men.

Kevin

Yeah as you can see they can affect the past so its not memories, they are literally time traveling, just not physically.

Mike Lewis

Its a shame you are obviously easily persuade by others who watch the show and nit pick every detail. I do feel bad for folks who weren't able to live this episode in the moment when it happened and it overtook the internet. It was a sensation and rather puzzling someone would continuously complain at the end of a ground breaking episode. Feel bad for ya.

Nat misses a LOT of points of the scenes, and on some of them she is just sitting there confused and starts yelling. besides that, decent reactions.

As someone who really disliked Seasons 5 and 6, and basically hatewatched the rest of the series while it was airing, I still find it understandable that a lot of people in the comments think Nat's been more critical of episodes not because she actually criticises them, but because a lot of people have been telling her to brace herself for the latter seasons and its decline. I find that viewpoint understandable, but I'd actually go one step further. Nat isn't being critical because she knows it gets bad, but because she wants to desperately impress the fans by showing a critical eye to the issues in the story, and some of these fans have fell for this hook line and sinker with the constant defending of her and labelling anyone who criticises her reactions as a S6/7/8 lover. The simple fact is, the flaws in Season 6 are no different to that in Season 5. But Natalie trying to appear as big brain as possible is more concerned with plot holes or conveniences in the story than she is with the clear poor decisions with certain characters. Sansa for example was put through a second abuse arc with Ramsay which adds nothing to her story. She's essentially just put through abuse to build up the next big hate-able villain with more torture porn that wasn't actually necessary. Nat doesn't criticise this, hell she actually is all "You go girl Sansa" when she calls out Littlefinger for being stupid enough to give her to the Boltons in the first place. So why is there such a great difference in her critique of Season 5 and 6? The clear answer is S6 is closer to the end, therefore to her, filled with more flaws. This shows she only does these reactions just to please people. Since she either didn't like S5 that much and kept away from criticising it, but then showed that criticism for S6. OR she actually liked S5, but then put S6 under closer scrutiny even if she might've actually enjoyed the episode without trying to appease fans. And again, I hated both Seasons 5 and 6. For the few good moments it had there were a lot of awfully written ones. But I can appreciate those who might've liked its better moments. Nat tried appeasing both sides of the fans who liked latter seasons and the ones who didn't, and is rightfully getting called out for it.
