Another Manic Marvel Monday 😊 Always look forward to watching your new videos, but for goodness sake look after yourself Nattie G 💛 First time watching these final episodes too Nat, and certainly an unexpected turn of events. The episode title "Previously on..." was clever, as it revealed what was going on. Look forward to watching the finale with you next week. Thanks for today's video. Take care Nat 💛

I'm so ready!!! 🤗🤩🙌🏻

Sooooo, when will you do Black Widow? It's out on Disney + ;)

R.BGames37

Omg.. these go so freaky fast.. and i love it.. next monday we might end this show... Are you already searching for something new Nat?

Anonymous

Hey Nat, hope you are feeling better soon. Don’t worry about the 3 episodes. I think a lot of us requested the 3 episode more for your viewing than ours. Take care and stay golden Nat!

Anonymous

Sohhhhhhhhh....why is GOT getting 3 eps, instead of VandaVision getting its finally later this week...........🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄

Simon Bauer

Only thing from Marvel I wasn't a fan of was Wandavision :( Black Widow was surprisingly good can't wait for that viewing.

Ian

Let the sorrow begin

Anonymous

This series in particular (idk if someone else has already said it) but it mainly shows the 5 levels of depression from the first episode to the end.

Ellis Hugh

It's so refreshing watching this show with someone who doesn't know things - like not knowing who Agnes is from pretty much the get-go, that kind of thing. "What is grief, if not love persevering?" Feel like the writers deserve an award for that line alone.

A Vicarious View

The supernatural elements of Marvel are starting to be introduced to the MCU. Ghost Rider started it in Agents of SHIELD. Then Doctor Strange brought the magic. Wanda brings witches. Then Morbius coming out next year and Blade after that will bring the vampires. A big villain of Wanda's in the comics is Mephisto, the Devil.

Ellis Hugh

Interesting tidbit - the venerable Dick Van Dyke met with Elizabeth Olsen before they started filming (at the top secret Disney Club 33, no less) and they spoke for several hours about the process of making a sitcom from that era, the complexities of filming in black and white and so on. He was a great mentor to her and apparently quite generous.

ISeeTrees ofGreen

im like 99% sure hayward purposely did that to goad wanda into reanimating vision because like nat said, it wouldve otherwise been stupid of him to just show her all that and say what he said

Anonymous

that property was bought by vision for them to both grow old in together

Anonymous

For once, I actually agree with Hayward (about not giving Wanda Vision's body)

Randee Carreno

Happy Marvel Monday, Natalie! 😊 I hope that you had a great weekend. Most or all of this show was filmed before COVID. And a few things were changed in the last episode due to the pandemic. Ever since episode 7 originally came out months ago, lots of us still have the song "Agatha All Along" stuck in our heads. Myself included. LOL! I loved that they gave Monica her powers, like in the comics. Every time I watch episode 8, from the moment we see Wanda and Vision together in the Avengers compound until after Wanda creates her life with Vision in Westview I go through at least three tissues. Elizabeth Olsen is phenomenal in those scenes. "The Scarlett Witch" is Wanda's nickname in the comics. And White Vision that you see in the episode 8 end credits also comes from the comics. Have a great day today! 😊 I hope that you get to feeling better with your cold. Until the next video, Stay Golden! 💛

Ellis Hugh

The most important thing to remember as you come to the close of episode 8... you have to keep in mind the timing of this. Wanda was on the run with Captain America and the other Avengers after Civil War with no home of her own - even Sokovia was destroyed. He acquired this piece of property for the two of them to make a life together so that she would never be alone again and that scene in Infinity War, when they were in Edinborough and he was stumbling over his words, talking about how their relationship 'worked'... he was building up the courage to ask her to marry him. But then when they were suddenly attacked and he eventually realized that he was going to have to die to save the world, he couldn't bring himself to do it and become yet another thing for her to lose.

A Vicarious View

I think Hayward had them splay Visions body parts out to trigger Wanda's emotions into hopefully reviving him. He wanted to see if she could do it.

sheriffjt

The episode 7 opening visuals are almost identical to "Happy Endings"

Ian Forbes

Can’t wait for you to finish the series, Nat! Been so much fun. Good call on waiting to watch Black Widow. There is something in an upcoming series which will help your understanding of something in that movie’s end credit scene. Also, to answer your question about the mind (yellow) stone; it was always in the scepter Loki was using … it’s why it was able to convert people to act on his behalf.

Brandon Scott

So many people taking issue with how you're doing things with this show. I love it. I am absolutely grateful that we didn't have to wait 9 weeks and are getting the show in 4. That's awesome . And me, personally, I would rather see you healthy and able to relax and focus on the show even if that means waiting a little longer. There were even a few times here when I thought that I wished you had waited because blowing your nose and I'm sure worrying that stuff was just gonna come running down your lip was keeping you from fully investing in the scenes you were watching. Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining. I'm just trying to voice that I get it and I support you doing whatever you have to do to be healthy and put out the quality of content that you're comfortable with. Being here doesn't mean you owe me personally anything. You do a wonderful job of provide quality entertainment to a lot of people. So thanks.

Mike LL

Natalie is so right to wait. Not everyone has a spare $30 bucks just to see it right now on Disney Plus. I saw it in the theater for $5. Rewards programs at theaters are great.

Calo Grsf

Thanks Nat for your reaction! I hope you'll be more careful next time, to avoid getting a cold again, and don't forget that we're on your ship and you're the Captain on board, so do as you wish to organize yourself, for the rhythm, etc. 😄 But I loved your reaction today, especially with the famous "What a twist", and it's so revitalizing to see it all again with you! 😃 But don't forget, take care of yourself, be safe and stay golden! 💛

Rich

Those are SWORD agents, not the FBI

Xanbry

With Magic you have to know the hand signs and study alot to be strong. Thats why Doctor Strange is very powerful at the end of his movie. Wanda is The Scarlet Witch, she can basically tell the magic to do what ever she wants. Just in terms of powers Wanda can warp reality on a multiversal level when she reaches her Max Power.

Ryan Merrill

Love your content! Just wanted to say that it is probably a good idea for you to wait on Black Widow, for the reason you stated, as well as the end credits scene of it having to do with a show you haven't watched yet. Keep it up!

Anonymous

He bought the property for them to grow old in together.

Steven Kuit

The line itself really isn't all that special tbh - I've seen it on plenty of wall tiles. What makes it so great is Vision's delivery and the irony that an android who doesn't really understand human emotion almost understands it better because of it.

Steven Kuit

Oh for sure, putting all that vibranium in the ground would've been a terrible idea and basically an open invitation for the next supervillain to come and snatch it up. The only problem is that Hayward wasn't REALLY interested in doing what was right - he was just egging her on hoping she'd power up his new toy for him.

Tyler

Can confirm, all Tyler's are a-holes haha

William Connery

I can’t believe you managed to not immediately watch episode 9

Travis

Agatha did not gain powers, shes a witch and she’s been there all along. That’s why the song is called “Agatha all along”

Matt Camburn

the house at the end was where they where going to live together, they had planned it a long time ago. It had both their names on the deed

Anonymous

So the commercials are actually hints to what is going on: 1. The toaster is Stark-branded, and the flashing red light matches the Stark missile. 2. The Strücker watch is named after the Hydra scientist who led the project that gave Wanda & Pietro their powers. 3. Hydra Soak: self-explanatory. 4. Lagos Paper Towels are named for Lagos, Nigeria, where Wanda “made a mess she didn’t mean to” at the beginning of CIVIL WAR. 4. The characters are “snackin’ on Yo Magic,” because that’s exactly what Agatha does…snacks on yo’ magic. 5. Nexus antidepressants reference Wanda’s character in the comics as a “nexus being,” a focal point of reality,

This_Jedi_crafts

I think she's going to be blown away by the roller coaster of a ride that is the final episode!

Thomas Yanez

This. This. So many times, this. 😃 I twitch a little now each time she identifies anybody from the government, even those in full military garb, as "FBI".

Robert C

I believe that Vision bought the lot for them to build a house on and start a life in. I suspect, though we're not explicitly shown this, that Wanda found it when she was cleaning out his room after he died because he never got a chance to give it to her. Then going there and seeing this life that she would never have just overwhelmed her with grief and caused her to create this fake world where it would be possible.

Joel Palenychka

Agatha is a long time character in the Marvel universe. Alternating between good and bad depending on the story she's mostly in it to maintain and gain magical power. In the comics she's typically a much older woman but she can be any age she wants to be. She's also tied in with Wanda and Pietro in the comics, but that gets very convoluted. They've simplified her greatly for the show, which makes sense. The energy within the scepter was yellow because it came from the mind stone. You'll notice when she creates Vision the energy used to make him is also yellow. Heyward lied, of course, about Wanda stealing Vision's corpse solely to justify his own agenda to other agencies. This series is a deep, deep comic fan basket of Easter eggs. There are so many comic references that many deconstruction videos on Youtube take longer than each episode themselves. But, yeah, Wanda had the talent for magic all along and the mind stone recognized that and chose her for reasons not yet revealed in this series but likely covered in future movies.

Anonymous

To be fair Black Widow was supposed to be released before Falcon and the Winter Solider so really we were meant to see that end credit scene first (unless of course they reshot it)

Connor Ellis

The wall of the Hex was trying to stop them because Wanda changed it's properties when she gave the drone. Also Monica didn't change because powers.

Julia

Hope you feel better Natalie!! I love that I've only been watching for a couple months and as soon as you did the 25 second intro I said "awh i hope she's okay she sounds sad" and then you said you were sick lol

Julia

But also, do not worry about the three episodes of GoT! You could easily take it a little slower with two this week and 3 for the next two weeks! Take care of yourself (:

Connor Ellis

That's the original vision's body, not a new one.

When the classic BBC show, Doctor Who, was brought back in 2005, one of the new recurring characters was called Jack Harkness. His name is an homage to Agatha. Jack was a Time Agent turned con-man from the 51st century who winds up getting involved with the Doctor and his companion, Rose. Jack is killed while battling the Doctor’s most feared adversaries, the Daleks, but is brought back to life by Rose because she absorbed the energy of the Time Vortex. As a consequence of this, Jack is now immortal and can never be killed. This is explored more in his own spin-off show, Torchwood.

Joe Blankenship

Everybody had “Agatha All Along” stuck in their head for a week after that episode.

Nicholas Sulikowski

Fun fact, the name Torchwood is an anagram of Doctor Who. When they initially bought back Doctor Who in 2005, they used the production title "Torchwood" as an anagram in order to hide the fact that it was coming back from nosey people with cameras. (The Star Wars film Return of the Jedi similarly was filmed under the production title Blue Harvest for the same reasons.) And so when they decided to come up with a threat for series 2 of the modern Doctor Who show, as well as a title for a spinoff, they went with Torchwood.

Ilsuk Yang

So, interim director Hayward was always lying about Wanda stealing the Vision's corpse (which you're probably aware of). That vacant lot was supposed to be Wanda and Vision's future home, but he died before it was finished. There's more I could say, but I'll save it for the finale since they could be spoiler-ish. Just remember that there's two end credit scenes with the finale!

Kevin Bartelen

The Scarlet Witch is her name from the comics, there I think she chose it herself but I think this way of naming her as such is perfectly fine. But as such people who know the comics have been calling her that this whole time since we first saw her in Avengers 2

Chris Lane- Venturi 3D

I can't imagine anyone else playing Agnes/Agatha now. Also, funny how so many people theorized that Hayward might be evil or working for someone else but you were accurate, he's just an a-hole that's bad at his job, lol.

Lucky Dragon ‘She.They’

Reminder that the finale has 2 end credits scenes. One at the mid-credits and one after.

Doug Watson

I can't wait for your journey with The Adventures of Sam and Bucky!

Matthew Periolat

Awww, poor Nat. So sick. Thanks for toughing through for us. I’m SO delighted you finally - FINALLY - got to “It Was Agatha All Along”! You said back in the first episode if this was a musical and I just smiled, knowing what was coming. It’s probably clearer now, but Agatha was always her own agent of chaos, playing along to trying and figure out what made Wanda. And yeah, if it’s not clear, Vision got the land for him and Wanda. He was trying to work up proposing in Scotland so they could finally have their world, their time… then it all went to hell. Part of the reason why Wanda in Endgame is such a fistpump for me now: “You took everything from me.” “I don’t even know who you are.” “You will.” Can’t wait for the finale, but oh my dear, please pace. If you need a break to mend, take it. You’re of no use to yourself, let alone your audience if your health is getting hurt. I trust you will, but gotta mother hen a bit. And yes, Tyler is the name of a lot of jerks. Matthew is just… kinda there. Except for Daredevil and the Gospel writer so… hero? Maybe? Still Golden.

Alan Kobb

Calling Wanda "The Scarlet Witch" is a remnant of a licensing agreement with Fox. Not to get too complicated, but years ago, 20th Century Fox bought the rights to the X-Men. This included an exclusive right to all the characters that appeared in the X-Men of the comic books. The Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver were cross-over characters that appeared in both the X-Men as well as The Avengers, so a special agreement was made that Fox could call them Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver and Marvel would retain the rights to their human names, Wanda and Pietro, but not the hero names. More recently, Disney bought the 20th Century Fox library, so they effectively bought back those names, and WandaVision was the platform they used to reintroduce Wanda as The Scarlet Witch in the MCU. Don't be surprised to see more cross-overs now between the MCU and the X-Men. As a matter of fact, maybe now would be a good time for you to consider putting the thirteen X-Men movies in your plans...

Doug Watson

That book was missing from the Library in Doctor Strange

Anonymous

I don't know if this is in the comics or not, but there is a reference to blue soap made by HYDRA in the show Agents of SHIELD. Also the anti depressant commercial might be referring to stuff in the Loki series as well as the comics calling Wanda a nexus being.

Andrew T

Lemme just say, thumbs up to some of you commenters who provide really enlightening information about Marvel/Fox/Disney, comic lore, easter eggs, etc. You add real value to Natalie's Patreon.

Garrick Smalley

Please keep yourself healthy. Post as you can do not feel like you need to for us. Just speaking for myself I will be here.

Christopher French

The property was bought by Vision for both of them "to grow old in," and the heart in the first episode is from the deed. Wanda's grief is what made her able to create everything in the Hex, including the Vision that she made. Because what is grief, if not love persevering?

Christopher French

I think because she's eager to finish GOT, and honestly seasons 6-8 go by quicker. They're when the show started to dip in quality.

AC5555

The set for Westview is actually on the Golden Oak Ranch owned by Disney in Santa Clarita. I know because I went to a summer program at USC and we went to the ranch and saw that spot.

Jeff E

Yes, I think this land for the house is what Vision was going to tell Wanda when they were on the run in Infinity War, right before they saw the news clip and then got attacked. He was going to ask her to go away with him and just live a life together. And I think you're right on the money. Wanda almost certainly found the deed while cleaning out Vision's things, went to get his body and when she couldn't, she went to check it out. That's why she looks confused at first. Then she sees the message from Vision on the deed, it ALL hits her at once. She realizes how close she came to finally finding happiness but those waves she described knocked her down again. She literally exploded with grief and her subconscious created this world out of her safe place... TV sitcoms. When she told Vision in Ep5 that she can't even remember how any of it started, she was being completely honest. She didn't intentionally do any of this. It literally grew out of her grief.

I hope you get to watch the kungfu panda trilogy, some say it's the perfect trilogy. I enjoyed it and one movie may be greater than the other but to me, its truly is amazing

Ian Forbes

Great call out on the business reasons for ability to use character names. It’s similar to how MCU couldn’t use “mutants” to explain all the “enhanced” heroes and villains. I respectfully disagree on rewatching the Fox X-Men films (Logan and the Deadpool films are the exception). Feige and crew will be bringing the mutants into the fray and I’m hoping they’ll get it right (I am super biased as Chris Claremont’s Uncanny X-Men run is my favorite comic book series) but the majority of the X-Films are objectively terrible (scriptwise and studio decisions mostly) ; especially stacked up against most of the MCU (which has thus far been mostly about characters I found mediocre in the comics but have enjoyed cinematically).

RivEx

Nat: There's a lot of witches in this world that he haven't met. Mordo: Too many sorcerers.

acidnova

Even though we can be impatient, I'm glad you only watched two instead of all three remaining eps. Gives you a moment to process everything. These were loaded episodes.

Nicholas Sulikowski

Regarding Wanda's powers. She always had latent magical ability. They were minute, and may have even faded without attention paid to them, but they were there. She unknowingly used a probability hex on the Stark weapon to prevent it from going off. Years later, exposure to the Mind Stone amplified her powers, arguably by increasing her own mental abilities. Regarding the color of the stone, remember the Mind Stone was always technically yellow. It's just that it was contained within Loki's Sceptre which had an outer blue shell. Which, at the time, made the audience think it was a piece of the Tesseract/Space Stone. But then Ultron shows us in Age of Ultron that the blue shell was hiding the yellow Mind Stone.

Jason Dolan

I assume everyone has made it be known there are 2 (TWO) Post Credits scenes for the finale (1x9)!

Alan Kobb

Congratulations to Kathryn Hahn, nominated for emmy for Best Supporting Actress in a Limited Series or Movie! Also, The Mandalorian and Giancarlo Esposito were nominated for Best Series and Best Supporting Actor in a Drama series.

Aaron Chandler

Soooooo... I'm pretty sure Wu is the only FBI agent on the scene. Lead dick and the rest of his goons are SWORD agents. Of course, I've been known to be wrong. But yeah, I'm gonna be that guy right now.

Steven Tarsitano

news flash. the word "quarantine" has been used before the year 2020. hate that people think she's referencing covid. it's like when a kid thinks that everything is a fortnite reference just because fortnite has a player model of characters from other video games.

Richard Ryan

Natalie, when you watch the Finale, remember... There's a MID CREDITS and an END CREDITS sequence. :)

Steven Tarsitano

i sorta don't like what they did with wandas past. she was supposed to be the daughter of a character named Magneto, but there were reasons why they couldn't do that in the MCU, because there were some issues with Fox and their ownership of the X-Men characters.

DaMarkiM

that is a meaningless statement. if film can be anything it could just as well be an adaption where she was supposed to be magnetos child. Being an adaption does not make intent and a characters background disappear. Calling it an adaption is just empty wordplay.

Lucifer Moon

Actually, you are 100% wrong. No character's backstory or intent is a 'golden calf' immune to the changes of the Adaption Process. Get over it.

Kevin

The nexus commercial is referencing to Wanda being a Nexus being.
