I admit that I, like many, started out loving this show. And, like many, became a bit disappointed by the last season. So much that I honestly have not bothered watching the last 3 episodes of the entire series. Maybe I will watch them for the first time along with your eventual reactions.

One of the joys of this show is the pairing off of characters and the conversations that they have. Arya with Tywin. Jon Snow with Ygritt. Sansa with the Hound. And there are so many more to come.

It's too bad you can't use the Men In Black flashy thing to erase your knowledge of that future episode you saw, I'm afraid it's gonna lessen the shock value of certain moments, knowing that persons A, B & C are alive.

As the series progresses, take note of the sigils on the cities during the opening credits, especially when it comes to King's Landing and Winterfell. They'll indicate who controls those areas.

Regarding the recaps I would totally support if you just skip them and start the episode at the intro. I assume there's like a slider in the player you use to move the time the episode is as? Recaps can "spoil" quite a bit

I allways disliked how they did this episode. In the books, Jaimie doesnt brutally murder a relative to escape, "just" some guards in a fight. That way the differense with joffrey was more clear.

Its not really made clear in the show, but at the time we meet Jamie Lannister he's not just an egotist, he is widely considered the best swordsman in the realms and one of the most elite knights, a borderline prodigy. That helps explain the squire's hero-worship.

It honestly kinda sucks that you saw that one ep in future seasons because now you are spoiled on who lives through the show which takes away a lot of stress that happens in key moments for these characters meant to make you think they died. In this moment for the first time I literally thought it was bran and Rickon who died and was livid. Who ever thought it was a good idea to sit you down and let you watch that ep xD
