Hey guys!

Here it is! The beginning of SEASON 2!! For this one, I thought it could be fun to bring Tyler in and do a recap/discussion on our thoughts of Season 1. It's the raw footage of our discussion just as a Patreon exclusive (YouTube will get an edited version).

Let us know if you like this addition and if so, we can do it for future seasons as well. Be nice to Tyler in the comments below please as he was nervous putting his voice in my video :)

For those who would like to skip the discussion, feel free to jump to 36:55.

Also, I completely spaced and forgot to put a text pop up for when the intro starts so for those who want to skip the HBO ad/recap just go directly to 41:00.

As always, please let me know your thoughts in the comments below and until the next one, ✨stay golden!✨

You mean S2E1?

Don Britt

Ahhh yis! Let the character death speculation begin!

Anonymous

S2E1? 🤔

Azfaris

Haha, right? I was like YYESSS, wait huh?

Ben Wheeler

I think Tyler did a great job scaring you at the end of 300 😄

Martin Firth

Heck yeah! Also the title is wrong as many others are about to inform you 😊 S2E1

Ian

Season 2 the fun continues thanks as always Nat just need work to be over now 😀

Darryl Low

I'm loving this discussion with Tyler. Definitely a great addition to have before every season Nat. It's a fun debrief and great to hear all the theories you both have. And Tyler's accents were so funny and on a par with yours 😂 You'll have to tell Tyler to show more restraint in future though 😂

Danishprince

Welcome Voice of Tyler! You have nothing to be nervous about, we are (usually) quite a nice bunch here on Patreon ;) - You scaring Nattie at the end of the 300 Reaction is one of the best moments ever! :D

Randee Carreno

I'm downloading this right now to watch tonight. However, I did watch the intro with you and Tyler going over season one. You both did a great job. You two should definitely do this at the beginning of each of the GoT seasons. I'm looking forward to watching this later this evening. 😊 Until the next video, Stay Golden! 💛

Victor Radoi

Looks like Tyler is a hater if he only liked the decor from S1

Anonymous

Only a 7 or 8? How dare you!? Sacrilege. After you watch it a few times over, you get a different sense of it as part of a whole. A 10 in that context. C'mon!?!

Anonymous

It's really cool to rewatch this series with you and my fellow patreons, I was worried you'd take too long a break between season 😄

Anonymous

Idk, Season one is great but has a few things holding it back a little. The budget wasn't all there yet, and there were a large amount of gratuitous scenes to hook in the audience, Still and 8 or 9 for me

Zakk Pierce

I joined Patreon for the first time ever just to watch your full Game of Thrones reactions. I'm very glad to be here!

Luis Torrefranca

So, for commenting while "pretending" you haven't seen the next season, it's like those of us here who have seen the series the whole way through commenting and trying not to give stuff away. It's a little bit of a mine field, but it can be done. For example, regarding Drogo, I restricted my one comment about his wound and death to how a flesh wound can lead to death, while not mentioning foul play in his treatment because it had not come up, yet. Just need to be mindful in phrasing and content. I mean, I haven't revealed the spoiler about the Care Bear invasion. ... oops.

Ian

really enjoyed the debrief with tyler its always good to get another persons perspective , the accents are from sheffield not london so get tyler to practice a yorkshire accent for next time pls 😉 i gotta say hes a fan of dexter so hes a top bloke right off the bat and he likes arya so extra credit there , anyways this was a lovely surprise and a great addition it gets my vote for a regular thing and now time to watch your reaction to the episode this i know is going to be pure gold

Ryu Kobushi

My reaction when Tyler said "I already finished season 2"... >8-0 How dare you!!! lol

Tranquil_Gnome

Season 2! New characters and new faces for you to learn. Sorry. New aspects of the world to understand. The religions of the world will be more prominent. And more Magic - this will be harder to understand because George RR Martin wanted it that way in his books. . . . . It is a good season. You will love it. Look to the gem at the red witch's, Melisandre's, neck. Bran's dreams are more real than you think. And there is a reason Bran and Hodor are together so much.. . . . . Wait and see. Sorry some answers will take several seasons before they are known. Fun facts: The actors playing Tyrion and Cersei are great friends in real life even before the show started. I think he was hired first and helped her get hired. One of the seasons they shared a house during the filming. The actors playing Cersei and Bronn, Tyrion's companion, once dated and it ended very poorly. So bad that Cersei had in her contract that she will never be in the same scene as Bronn.

Calo Grsf

Thank you Nat for your reaction! I enjoyed this little debriefing on season 1 with Tyler, I think it could be fun to do the same with the following seasons, and can we say Tyler is a traitor to the throne? 😆 Otherwise, I hope you didn't have your heart shaken too much at the end (a difficult moment for many), and you are mentally ready now for the next part, it's not ready to stop for the emotional rollercoaster haha I hope you're fine, stay golden and be safe! 💛

Tranquil_Gnome

PS Keep in mind it has been multiple thousands of years since the Whitewalkers have been seen by people south of the Wall. It is the reason the Wall was created and the Night Watch formed. Still thousands of years is long enough for people to think they are not real anymore and not a serious threat to the world. Also for the Night Watch to be considered a joke. A place where the scum of the south are sent to waste their life at. The peoples north of the Wall know better.

Luis Torrefranca

RE: Emilia Clarke I really enjoyed "Last Christmas". The White Walkers invade London. Clearly. Recommended for the list.

Anonymous

Finally! I like the post season discussion, but I am a bit concerned that Tyler will inadvertently cause spoilers for you. Even just his mood after watching particular episodes will be a major giveaway to what is or isn't happening.

Luis Torrefranca

"Everybody has an animal." I think Sansa might disagree. (I'm a terrible person)

Cultured Degenerate

Not even a minute into the season 1 review: "I've already finished season 2" XD I like this guy already

Luis Torrefranca

"This is 'Real Talk with Jon Snow'. Caller 1, you're on the air. What's your question?"

Luis Torrefranca

"The King in the North." everyone: "The King in the North" Makes me think of "The greater good." everyone: "The greater good."

Valar Dohaeris

"It's Tyler's fault that we don't see shows together" 😆😉😅😅😂😆🤣😆😂😅😆 I see you are both ready for marriage. 😂😍

Valar Dohaeris

About Ned dying at the end of first season, I can't talk about what others that watched real time thought. In my case (and all the people in my extended environment), I was litteraly shocked that he was killed. Now everybody knows that this show is famous for killing important cast members. But back then... only the people that read the books knew... Total Social event at the moment...

Jakub C

The confusion was real back then. I remember being like: "Um... So what now? The main dude is dead."

Amanda Sargent

I can relate to Tyler’s comment about watching in the car when in a show binge. One per day seems to be enough time in between episodes for me. I remember feeling like I couldn’t get enough of Hart of Dixie for awhile. I think it happened with Outlander, too. I think I saw that you had watched Firefly - some of these might be repeats but a couple of suggestions for at some point might also be Jericho, the newer Battlestar Galactica, Stargate Universe and Jeremiah.

Anonymous

Natalie needs to make a Patreon tier for having Tyler appear on camera.

Thomas Yanez

At the end of the "power" scene between Littlefinger and the Queen, you said the shot of the child in the foreground seemed unnecessary... there was a point to it. The child was working, with Baelish, out of focus, in the background. The child paused to look at Baelish, and then continued working. If you take that scene in the context of Baelish's earlier conversation with Ned Stark where he pointed out the hidden spies in just the area they were walking... that conversation Littlefinger had with Cersei probably was not as private as they might have thought it was.

Thomas Yanez

One per day? Amateurs. When I get handed multiple seasons of a show like GoT, I binge in 5-6 hour chunks. Absolutely no self control.

Starromania72

The best pronunciation of 'whore' in GoT is the Received Pronunciation version by Charles Dance/Tywin Lannister - "Hoo-er!"

Mike LL

Arrya is in a bad spot. She is heading North on the Kingsroad with one of Robert's bastards that everyone is looking for. And north is where the war is, between her and the Wall. A bad spot indeed.

John Graziano

I'm 5 minutes into this video and making bets with myself as to when Nat will stop staring daggers at Tyler for going ahead without her. My current best guess is never.

Lisa Tosti

As someone who grew up in Upstate NY (Saratoga area) and went to college in Long Island and lived in Brooklyn after college, your comparison of North vs. South in NY to North vs. South in GoT is so accurate!

Anonymous

It would be interesting for you two to find favorite characters that are not listed in the opening credits. The main characters are too easy to like it dislike.

Steve J

"I thought We'd review the season together" "I already watched all of season 2" .... :/

Danishprince

You will probably get confused by this at some point as many was back then but the names of Daenary's Dragons are: Drogon (The black one), named after Drogo. Rhaegal (the green one), named after her dead older brother Rhaegar. Viserion (the orange/golden one), named after her dead brother Viserys. It seems strange that she would name a dragon after Viserys considering what a bastard he was to her but she decided to remember how he was when they were kids where he would protect her, keep her fed and safe so that was the memory she chose to honor instead of how nasty he became :)

Jomero

Sorry, new here. Not sure if someone pointed it out (wouldn't be surprised if someone had, I'm probably like the 27th person to do so) but since you've seen Hot Fuzz...... Michael (the "Yarp" guy) from that movie also plays Sandor "The Hound" Clegaine in GoT.

Anonymous

Wow that discussion was dead right when it started lol "I already watched all of season 2" smh, self control my man. Do it for Nat...

panacamanana

Don't give him a hard time about the accent. It's not offensive and the best.

Anonymous

OMG, Tyler! Now you have to wait even longer for Nat to catch up... or it'll be a Red Wedding for you!

Dan Careaga

Every time I see the Hound all I can think is "Yarp!"

Baron

Thanks for the great new video and for the intro with Tyler that was fun. Also just wanted to comment on something you said during the introduction. House Lannisters expression "A Lannister always pays their debts" doesn't mean what you are really talking about. Why would the richest family ever need to borrow money? It's a metaphor for saying if you cross our family we will be sure to pay you back with interest!

Anonymous

I just want to throw out that the show does a horrible actually portraying the ages of the characters. For example Ned is 34 or 35 at the end of season 1, Jon Snow is supposed to be 14 and Joffrey is supposed to be 11. To put things in a different perspective.

Matthew Periolat

Well, speaking for myself, I do enjoy the recap with Tyler (whom I decree is the Voice of God since we never see him) and would be fine with more, just as separate recap episodes or right at a season end to decompress. Aside from that, carry on.

John Graziano

Keep in mind: "The Lannisters pay their debts" is more of a threat than a promise.

Anonymous

If you’re from south of I-90 that makes you a Southerner to me!

MattN

I loved having Tyler on!! And would like to hear more from the two of you!! I only ask that, even if he don’t come on screen, that he be mic’d up please 🥰

Ethan Plumer

Nothing against Tyler, but I very much prefer your insight and your reactions.

Anonymous

Was tyler nervous about being recorded? I thought the early conversation seemed a bit off early on, but once you guys really got into the material the discussion flowed very nicely and was great to watch. Just some constructive feedback, I think you guys have a nice and entertaining back and forth after you are warmed up a bit.

Garrick Smalley

Recap with Tyler was fun. Yes to doing that with every season. Dang there are so many offhand comments I would love to say during the show but... spoilers. Stay Golden

Emily Smith

"A Lannister always pays his debits" is not actually the family motto. It is "Hear us roar." However if you think about it, the always paying your debits makes more sense given the vindictive nature of the Lannisters. Not all debts are financial....

My_Cousin_Mose

Agreed. I am down for having him on to do recaps and discussions but I'd be disappointed with having him on through the episode reaction. Really sorry if this is upsetting to Natalie or Tyler.

darby72

It's so funny, I was just listening to this part of the review and was going to write a comment about how "always pays his debts" could have multiple meanings, not just the straight forward financial one, and it just happened that the most recent comment was saying the same thing. Maybe Natalie is just too kind of a soul to think about it in those terms.

Jakub C

Why did my comment disappear? It was 100% spoiler free.

Danishprince

Which comment got deleted? I see a couple of your comments still there when looking through the comments :)

Ellis Hugh

I prefer just Nat, though Tyler popping up on occasion is great. His early highlight reel has to include the big scare in the 300 reaction.

Kevin Anand

The gratuitous nudity mostly disappears after the first season, so don't worry!

Troy B.

I'm surprised they only gave the first season a 7.5/8, as I thought it was arguably one of the most solid first seasons of a show I've seen. Makes me wonder how they'll feel later.

Ellis Hugh

Its really only the last two 'half-seasons' that were problematic and season 7 had a number of absolutely amazing moments. I remain convinced that if they had given us full seasons in 7 & 8 instead of shorting us seven episodes, a lot of those issues could have been fixed.

Pokerpope

We don't all sound like that!

Doug Watson

Thank you for humming the intro song, it really helped me with synching!!!

Ana Fox

Onto S2! And you've already finished it! Perfection!

Anonymous

It was great getting your in depth impression of Season 1

Sinewmire

Got to love how American impressions of English accents default to bad 60s Cockney. To be fair, most outsiders think all Americans are texan, so...

Cory Silver

The random kid cleaning after the Littlefinger / Cersei scene means Varys knows about the event. All the little kids bring him info.

Tommy Ross

My favorite thing about this episode is Kit Harington talking about how shocking it was when the Lord Commander literally hoisted him up with a single hand and held him off the ground and against a wall. That guy is JACKED under all those cloaks.
