You're amazing. Thank you for watching Star Wars and sharing your first reactions with us. Us Episode 3 hardcore fans love watching these. I imagine there will be a lot of new patreons coming to see this and the rest of your Star Wars reactions and anything else you react to 😄

As far as a name for the community, how about the Gold Rush?

Dave M.

Now 7, 8, and 9 please! (I know you want a break but I’m anxious with anticipation for you to see the rest...) 🙂👍🏼

Btw you should watch Rogue One before 789!

Chris Sosa

I know that this is a Star Wars reaction, but when is FOTR gonna be uploaded? Surprised it's on youtube and not on patreon.

E

Also another thing, Vader means Father in Dutch I'm pretty sure. Or some other language. So that makes sense you see

Yes, I also think it would be better if Patreon had early access to be more rewarding. And its better for promotion aswell ofc

John

Darth Vader translates as Dark Father.

There are some great refurbished DELL laptops with Nvidia Quadro video cards for not a lot of money on Newegg.

1. Of course it's fine watching you be sad about episode III. I cried along with you and suspect that others did as well. 2. Does Cota know when you're sad and come help? That would be charming. 3. No one is judging you about spilling your drink. 4. What is in said drink? Something with campari? It looks yummy.

I think you should check out the Mummy Trilogy soon if you haven't seen it yet.

I was thinking "Goldilocks" as a play on her last name and because of her big hair!

nataliegold

Adding to the list! I've seen the first one years ago. God I hate those scarabs!

nataliegold

Haha Koda's not the best emotional support pup. He just kinda stares at me when I cry. ANd it was an Aperol Spritz!

Doubting Thomas

Joined because I like your enjoyment of the Star Wars films and hope you don’t stop because you might have heard mixed reviews on 7-9. I would be fascinated to see how a first time viewer reacts to them. Also because I shouted “Noooo!” just like Vader when I heard you say you were taking a break...

BadMoon84

Time to watch Star Wars: Rogue One then Star Wars: Solo. :D

I like all the new ones. I think they're all better than any of the three prequels. Hope she goes back to them.

So there are comments on the video trying to explain the Emperor's physical change. Tapping into the darkside doesn't immediately make you grotesque, he was burned by the lightning, he was using on windu. Anakin was burned by the fire on mustafar. Palpatine was a darkside user for decades prior to his encounter with Windu. i'm editing as i'm watching - Sith monikers don't seem to have a reason per se, Palpatine is Lord Sidieous, INSidieous perhaps? Vader... INVader? doesn't really work for Maul or Tyranus... but they all seem to be bad things.

Vader in dutch means father and is pronounced similar to father (vaa dher), so Dark Father. Lucas used darth because it sounded like dark.

Erik Lundmark

I hate to make a second request so soon, but if you ever need more Star Wars to react to you shouldn't forget about "Spaceballs" (1987) - it's The Only Star Wars parody and a darn good one at that. It's also a Mel Brooks movie. I'm sure I'm not alone asking for that one though.

nataliegold

Haha thanks Erik! Don't worry, I definitely haven't forgotten about Spaceballs

They made it look as though Padme was still pregnant when she was buried so Palpatine wouldn't go looking for the child/children.

What about "Star Gags - a never-ending bloopers saga"?

Reggie Clark

That's just a coincidence. Darth Vader and Anakin Skywalker were originally two different characters. If you read Splinter of the Mind's Eye, which was the sequel written for Star Wars (1977) if it were a flop, Vader isn't Luke's father and Luke isn't related to Leia. Lucas wanted to shock audiences so he made Vader Luke's father. In fact, Luke asks Yoda if Vader is his father because some fans believed that Vader lied about being his father in a bid to sway Luke to the dark side.

I guess it was pretty safe to bring Luke to Tatooine, because Vader thought he'd killed Padmé along with his offspring. Plus, he hated Tatooine because of all the sand, it's coarse and rough and irritating and it gets everywhere.. oh, and because of his mother I guess

React to episode 7,8,9 and rogue one and solo please!!!!

Does it matter WHY they're named Luke and Leia? People sometimes name their kids because they like the names. I don't think everything has to be super deep lol. Same for Vader's name (maybe that one means something).

Marek Pfeifer

Vader was derivate from Invader but that's behind the scenes reason not really sure about the in universe one.

Michael Patrick

I love how the same actor portrays The Emperor in every movie... 😉

Nicholas Sulikowski

Retroactively, yes. Originally, the Emperor in The Empire Strikes Back was portrayed by an uncredited actress named Marjorie Eaton, with superimposed chimp eyes to make her look unsettling. And the voice was provided by Clive Revill. (Who also voiced Alfred Pennyworth very very early on in Batman: The Animated Series, before being recast with Efrem Zimbalist Jr.) Since that performance was so complicated that it would make it hard to do with a walking talking Emperor, and since Ian McDiarmid's portrayal in Jedi was so iconic, and since he also played him in the prequels, the decision was made to reshoot that in Empire so that it could be Ian McDiarmid, and make everything consistent.
