Hey there folks!

Going to be filming a reaction JUST FOR YOU GUYS! Since I won't be messing with Studio Ghibli and their copyright strikes, this will just be posted as a watch along style video for Patreon.

Of all the Ghibli films I've watched, 3 of the 4 choices here are my favorite. Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, and Howl's Moving Castle.

Princess Mononoke was the first to play US theaters (if you don’t count a small under-the-radar dub of My Neighbor Totoro), but no one saw it until Spirited Away won the Oscar, and then rushed out to,see Howl’s Moving Castle. These are the “fans” who think only three Ghibli movies existed, until an older fan got them to,watch Kiki. Now, if we could only get them to watch Nausicaa, Castle of Cagliostro, and Porco Rosso.

ALL of these are masterpieces. You should watch them all. The dubs are great on all of them (and I'm normally a STRICT Subs-only viewer) and especially genius on Kiki and Howl. Phil Hartmann and Billy Crystal transform their respective films in the most charming and unforgettable ways. Spirited Away and Mononoke are, IMO, just as good sub or dub.

I’m quite late on this conversation, but just a few words to say I find Porco Rosso so underrated. Quite a unique piece among a unique filmmaker’s work.

Such a great universe Miyazaki has created over the years. I hope you see Princess mononoki and Howls Moving Castle too.
