completely apropos of nothing, here's a little redraw of this one behind the scenes shot from scott pilgrim, from bryan lee o'malley's own photos i think. i saw this ages back and its been stuck in my head as a cool thing to muck about with since. 

and dont worry guys, we aren't suddenly doing realism 24/7 over here lol, not the least because it unsurprisingly takes a lot longer to draw a face when you put objectively like 5x more detail into it, and i'm slow enough as it is goddammit. if i ever get around to doing anything with envy again it'll likely just be the *actual* cdlum style at work
