  • First:

Things are good. I'm doing fine, thanks to you all everything is swimmingly.

  • And second:

In all honesty my numbers have been stagnating for quite some time. Youtube paychecks have gone down 60%.
Luckily streaming and GG and patreon have been more than helpful. I literati can't put into words how amazing yall have been. It's becoming stunning how much patreon has saved the day around the J house.

  • So in response of my numbers going down my first thought was- learn blender, and gimp my upload schedule.

  • So I gotta ask, since you guys are Frontline in everything that matters to me, are you happy with the blender skits? Am I doing enough? Are you happy with my attempts?

  • I need honesty here, I can't keep devoting myself to something if you don't even like it in the first place.

  • And before you comment, I am CONSTANTLY learning new stuff, and want to eventually make a series through blender, and it will happen eventually. It's just time consuming.

  • But I am willing to put it on the backbones if you think it's not worth the effort.

I've seen how much you enjoyed learning blender, I think it's a good investment in your future and you should continue doing it, full stop. Channel stagnation is a valid concern. Patreon and streams are keeping you comfy, but surviving might not be thriving, ya know? Right now learning a skill is limiting uploads, and no upload = nothing for the youtube algorithm to push, even if it decided to in the first place. My opinion is, if that analytics page is really on your mind that much, maybe try a new schedule. Two months on blender, two months off? Take your time making quality blender vids for two months, then stream and just edit vods to pump up some numbers the next two. Two grains of salt with this: One, this might just be real bad advice. If you have the motivation to learn blender NOW, you should stick with that hype train until you burnout. Even a single month off and then trying to re-motivate and get back into it kills some people's interest in a subject. But, then again, others treat it like a vacation and appreciate coming back with fresh eyes. Second grain of salt: Didn't you move not that long ago? Is all house moving/work done already? Honestly that's enough on anybody's plate. End of the day, I pay on patreon. You're secure. You want to focus on a little bit of quantity, vs extreme quality to grow the channel, do it. You want to learn blender so good other creators ask you for advice, you do that instead. I got you. Post script- Write and record a soundbite for JFJ snake oil -not just a picture- and throw it in vids. You worked with them and took the time to make a product with 350 5-star reviews. Grow that brand too, force them to restock it quicker out of sheer determination.

The BRC one was very good,in general the whole animations are cool. A few times like the ultrakill one and the baldur's gate one didn't hit as hard, probably cause they weren't as game related, in the sense as your little guy in the game and was p disconnected. The GC vid one was cool cause it was in topic of you playing old games and that one is cool I liked it a lot, so I think being more related to the content is pretty important, but that's about it cause you'll have to see how you want to do things your way. The content of the videos itself is great, I am an editing enjoyer myself so I quite like those bits, like the "not gonna sugarcoat it" sigmar on the vermintide video, just something that was on my mind really.

I have been enjoying your videos and streams for quite some time J and I also really like your blender openings too. Yeah they're a little amateur but you're still brand new to it and I can see it getting even better with time. I can even see it from when you started using it to now you're getting slightly better. Please keep up the hard work and it's a shame you've been losing some numbers because you're probably one of the few honest youtubers on the platform.
