quick update (Patreon)

Hey I know it's late so read this at your leisure. I'm not ignoring the yakuza series, the yakuza part 2 or 3 that's happening.

They are 100% happening, I'm just not read to tackle another 50 hour long editing session.

My editing style is this:
1. stream, entertain people live
2. use the stream footage to edit into highlights
3. edit non stop until the video is done. (the longest I've sat at my computer editing in one session was 15 hours)
4. finish and upload.

my editing style is rough and outdated but it's what I'm comfortable with and enjoy doing since it brings results I am happy with.

when I edit Yakuza it can take up to 10 hours per edit because I'm picking through over 50 to 60 hours of footage. This is why Gure was such a large help, Gure was paid nicely and he helped me take a large load off my shoulders, but I was becoming complacent and missed editing. So I let Gure go and took the load again.

I know what you're thinking and yes I try to take breaks, I do try to do these edits for multiple days instead of in one day, the problem with that is I cannot sleep if I do this.

for 16 years of Youtube that i've done, if there was a video that I wanted done but could not do in one night I could not sleep that night.

I would go to school and be unable to stay awake because I was dreading video ideas and the thought of not writing down ideas I had or the fear of forgetting them would make me uneazy.

I do not suffer from panic attacks or depression, this is just how I do things.

I am not a perfectionist by any means, I am actually rather happy with the results I see. I do not seek 1 million subscribers, I seek comments saying people are happy.

so I upload once a week, take 3 days off to myself, spend 1 vigorous night editing, then repeat the cycle.

I've done this for 16 years and only recently, (as of 2017) have I had actual income of my own to reliably take days off.

I work out more and gorilla tag has given me incredible cardio.

So rest easy, the Yakuza series is making a comeback, you'll see more tuna, and you'll see more great stuff happening.

also do not freak out if you do not see your name on the end of videos, I update those by-weekly since they are always changing.

I'm taking a small trip to Florida on March 15th to visit my grandpa, so don't expect anything for about a week.
