Starting off the renewed Patron-only Q&As for the comics and settings, I decided it's best to have a Q&A with each comic upload, based on the setting. the general idea is each patron getsa to ask a question for each Q&A and I'll do my best-est to answer it!

Thus as today was a Rag Tag comic upload, this is a Thistleland Q&A!

Got a question about Thistleland? Now's the time to say! There'll also be similar for the Patrons who are on Discord, so for those who support on Patreon and also are a member of the discord, looks like you get two questions for Thistleland! ;D

Hmmm, do bards of some kind still exist in thistleland?

Tea Spot

Excellent question, and the answer is absolutely, yes! There are quite a few bards that fill several niches within Thistleland, but the most common types are the average local bard who works at the local tavern to provide song and story, Travelling Bards who are much like the locals but basically spend time travelling from place to place (and are important for the spread/sharing of stories and song between bards!). I actually have a Thistleland character that is a Travelling Bard, who will be making quite a number of amusing appearances in Rag tag actually! Finally there's the Bards that are part of adventure groups, which aside the usual adventurer duties serve two purposes... though the split of those purposes enacted depends on their experience. Newbie groups will often have the bard at taverns they stay in sing their stories and epic tales, showcasing the heroics of the group as an advertisement (and also to amuse the locals!). Far more experienced bards often lean more to the other aspect of their role in the group: To provide a small amount of humanity at the lonely campfire, holding off the horrors creeping at the back of the party's minds with simple songs. Sometimes the worst music of the bard can even bring the most comfort to those in the wilderness...
