Updates! For the Updating! (Patreon)

So some of you might have noticed I haven't posted December's story yet. I'm working on it. December just happened to be a crazy month. Besides the usual holiday hubbub, working retail, etc., I was working hard on getting the short story bundle, Freaks & Other Family ready. For those that have pledged the 25$ tier at any point, I'll be sending out copies of this to you sometime this month. (I want to order a print copy myself to double check the quality first.)

And of course we can't just have a quiet month. My husband's car died. It needs a new engine block--at the low end, that's 6-7,000 dollars. Nope. Also, we still owe 3,000 on it because it was a car we didn't plan on purchasing. Due to the erratic nature of our finances, I don't buy things like cars unless I can pay for them flat out. So the last November, I bought a used van because Smalls is going to be in a carseat for-ev-vor and we needed something bigger and newer. Three weeks after that, a drunk driver rear-ended my husband's car and totaled it. (He's fine.) Insurance, naturally, didn't give us enough to buy a comprable car. So we had to get a loan...and that's the car that died. So we still owe 3,000 on a dead car. And then Man Friend's back went out again, he had to go to the doctor for his wrist, and his crown fell out...all in a three day span. It's been a month, for sure.

But I promise the story will be up soon. So basically you'll get two stories this month.
