Woo! Finally. I'm deep in revisions for the next YA book that's due...in 4 days. HAHAHAHAHA. Oof. Revisions make my brain very tired. I also miss drafting. That's my favorite part of writing a book, the part where I just do whatever I want and don't have to be too concerned with things like "reality" and "making sense."

I have to say revisions would be going a lot better if Smalls's school hadn't decided that this week would be *perfect* for half days all week. And if I hadn't had a cold. And if it wasn't October. I get invited to do all kinds of event things in October. Which I love! But on top of all the work...it's made me tired. Speaking of which, if you're in downtown Seattle tonight, I'll be doing a weird thing at the Crocodile where I read from Stephen King's Carrie and an improv group will respond to the reading. I have no idea what that's going to look like. I'll report back.

As soon as the YA book is turned in, I'm going to dive back into the draft of Rough Around the Hedges. I'm really looking forward to writing that goofy group of characters again. I'm going to try and NANO a large part of the draft. If you're also doing Nano, let me know! We can be buddies.

Poor Elaine! She's going to need that cookie.

She probably should have had that whiskey, but yeah...a cookie is definitely in order! : )
