So, first and foremost, I would like to say that the photo above is from an article in The Brown Daily Herald of the a Olneyville New York System hot wiener. (This is not my photo, I don't own it, I didn't take it, etc.) But I can't go to RI and take a photo, and I wanted you all to see what I was talking about. Thanks to several amazing and awesome friends and readers, I've learned a lot about Rhode Island food in the last few weeks. Also, I now want to go to RI. I want to try coffee milk. I would always much rather do my research in place than from afar, but sometimes it's what we have to do. So If I got anything wrong, let me know. I read articles and watched a lot of videos (including a fun one with Alton Brown that gave me a lot of info) about hot wieners for this story. I don't eat meat, but I still want to go to this diner to see the cooks line their arms with buns. That is skill and training, people. 

Anyway, I hope you enjoy the latest installment of Lena. The last few chapters took a little longer to post because we're doing a second round of edits on them, but I think the story is better for it. Hope everyone is staying safe!
