I thought this was a very powerful episode. I liked the fact they touched on racism in the police force and handled it well. I suppose you cannot do a story around endless episodes of the LAPD and never refer to it. We have our own similar problems in the UK particularly in the news much recently concerning the Metropolitan Police (London Police force). It was a harsh lesson and a sad one for Amenadiel to learn as it wasn't so long ago he told Luci and then Remiel how wonderful humanity was. The music in this episode once again was just so fantastic and really dug into the emotions (not that I needed any assistance in that this episode) I thought it was so moving that Amenadiel laid his most precious gift from his father around Caleb's neck. Maze and Eve- yes, I could go for that as they are both awesome while Dan is spiralling downhill fast and needs to talk to someone. He has built up his own layers of self-hatred and bad decisions lately. The guy needs real help and soon! It seems Lucifer has finally recognised that his devil face, devil wings are just a manifestation (self-actualisation) of his own deep deep emotions and self-hatred and here is another guy who needs help badly. I love that we are finally tapping into Luci's real problems that he has tried to bury, hide, joke about for possibly eons and certainly for the four seasons we have come to know him. It looks like everything is coming to the boil and about to explode- where will it all end? You are so right that this is a deep, at times dark, and dramatic season although I am glad they still infuse part of each episode with humour before punching us in the gut (metaphorically!) You are very strong not to binge this Show... I failed dismally and having come late to Lucifer after it was cancelled and season four dropped, watched all four seasons in three weeks. (The devil made me do it!) Anyway, thank you for your insightful reaction and see you again in episode 9.

This is one of my favorite episodes of the entire series! I ❤️ mostly everything in this episode! Lucifer trying to be a "Super Bad Boyfriend " so Eve will break up 💔 with him! Linda and Eve meeting and ganging up on Lucifer in a therapy session! Amenadel befriending Caleb and trying to help him like a father would! Eve an Maze's talk! Lucifer's amazing self-realization at the end of the episode that he hates himself! I also like how they handle the racism in the police department. Touching on the problem and how horrible it is and the reality that Dan's complaint probably won't change anything! Caleb's death is horrible! Amenadel's acting is impeccable in this episode! I hated Dan's spiraling downwards! Celia is so right! Dan needs a great deal of help! Wonderful reaction, Stephanie!
