Yes, we love Maze...she is badass, but she too has her own complex journey just as Lucifer does and although a fan favourite, I think you'll find that just as some things that Luci does, there will be times ahead when she will drive us crazy too! As you get to know these characters more, I hope that you, like the Lucifans will become invested in their stories throughout the seasons. Chloe now has to work with Lucifer and although she finds him annoying, confusing and sometimes downright maddening (as her eye rolls show us) their relationship and dynamic becomes the heart of the story and connects and combines with all the other characters. The plot also explores a little mortality situation that is happening to Lucifer. It's a great plot line, I think and many Lucifans had many different ideas. No spoilers as you will want to find out for yourself as the story progresses. I think Chloe has the patience of a saint to work with Luci who at this stage of the series (despite being Millenia old) is really like a troublesome, self-absorbed adolescent in a man's body. Let's hope Dr Linda is correct and Luci is changing (for the better) Now we also find Amenadiel pretending to be Dr Canaan so he can use her in his plan to return Luci to Hell...the plot thickens...

Maze is badass for sure. We will come to like and dislike each of these "celestial" characters at various points, because of their decisions and behaviors. They are on a journey of discovering humanity up close and personal. And as we all have free will to choose, so do they. And sometimes we and they make bad decisions and then have to face the consequences. Lucifer made a choice to rebel against God, and the consequence was banishment to hell. But my goodness, the twists and turns that are just around the corner - you are going to be blown away and severely hooked! Did you notice the little easter egg at the coffee shop where Maze and Amenadiel met? the name on the coffee machine was "beelzebob's" - which is one of the names given the devil..... (well the real name is spelled beelzebub) Oh and I'm not sure if you made the connection, but Maze saying to Lucifer that she will always be there to protect him from danger, whether he sees that danger or not - then she goes to sleeping Chloe and that scene is very chilling and creepy.... (i.e. Maze believes Chloe might be a danger to Lucifer)
