Starting with the cliffhanger, Tess sure does wear a lot of hats doesn't she? lol Clark going through the JSA museum and seeing the awe and pride on his face after all the years he spent denying his purpose was probably one of my favorite scenes in Smallville. And Dr. Fate telling Clark his fate still gives me chills. Lois hearing hers as well. Props to Tom Welling for directing part 2. He did a really good job, especially with the action sequence. Both parts were written by Geoff Johns, one of DC Comics biggest comic book writers at the time who eventually ended up becoming the president of DC Entertainment. He's also the creator of Courtney/Stargirl. You can tell someone with a love for the comics oversaw this two-parter. He wrote Legion as well but he went all in on the comic book lore here. Season 9 does a really good job of tying in all the storylines by the end of the season. It's a really tight and put together season. I'd compare it to season 5 with how well put together it was but the clois of season 9 makes it that much better.

I don’t seem how Chloe and Oliver can be coming out of nowhere when theyre not even a thing lol it’s not like they kissed or had sex. They’re hanging out and talking which they’ve been doing a lot this season. There was nothing sexual about that scene, but the tension would mean you do indeed see chemistry between them 🤷‍♀️
