Also on another note, regarding tom welling's absence on this episode. Network TV has brutal schedules for actors (especially 20+ episode seasons) , and mains such as Welling who appear in EVERY episode probably were just given time off and less work.

Interesting episode. Lana/Lex centric, and with Lana pregnant I can understand why the plot took Clark out of town. Completely agree that evil Lionel is awesome. Based on the DC Universe, there is a character with powers that loves Oreos. Won't spoil it for you though. I kinda like Lana being seduced toward the dark side with Lex. Enjoyed Jimmy getting to shine. So it seems to me like we are getting a clear two team pairings Clark/Chloe/at times Jimmy vs Lana/Lex/Lionel. Good guys vs the Bad guys. Great review!
