We're officially up on steam now!

Early Access release and your Patreon Pledge

People who supported Cloud Meadow at any point of time will receive an non-steam version of the game.

What does it mean to you?

For Steam EA Users, it means you will receive more stable builds, updated regularly, without having playtest builds put out. Slower, but more stable updates, for a one time payment. This version will also use steam systems such as Cloud Saves, Achievements, and Trading Cards.

The downside for you is that you'll not be getting as regular builds, nor get to play test all the new features before they're finalized.

For Patrons, it means that you'll get more regular builds, with more content in terms of story and mechanics.

The downside for Patrons is that you won't have achievements or trading cards, and will have to settle for local saves.

Technically, you can pledge as little as 2 USD on CM Patreon before Early Access launches and get the non-steam version of Cloud Meadow.

At the time when Cloud Meadow Goes Gold, all Patrons who are registered as having paid money into the project will receive a free, non steam, version of the completed game.

LongIslandSlicedCheese

Is the steam version going to be any different than the non steam one? I've seen some games that remove content bc of steam rules

First: Congrats! :D I really love your game. One of the few hentai games I (a woman) feel comfortable with. Second: I'd really prefer a Steam Key to be honest :_( I'm also a Patreon of Breeders of the Nephelym and DerelictHelmsman regularly provides Patreons with codes for different builds (Patreon tiers) on Steam. Not saying you have to do that too, I just wanted to mention it as a possibility.

nooooooOOOOOoooo my steam trading cards! D: I think it's awesome that you guys are getting more exposure this way, although I definitely appreciate builds still being released here for backers more frequently

I feel like the reason they don't give us the steam version, is they fear that if they do, Patrons would cut their pledge and wait for them on steam, and that way, they make sure that if we want the steam version, we have to pay for it, even though, most of us at this point have paid well over our share of the game price.

Screw Achievements and Trading Cards! In these times where you buy nothing else than a "permission" to play a game that you don't own in any form is a DRM (aka Steam) free version the next (and overall anyways) best thing <3

Lev

In the Steam version you have access to: Cloud Saves, Achievements, and Trading Cards.

how do I use cheats in steam version

Tealheart9

Little conflicted here, are the supporters going to, or are not going to get a copy of the game on Steam when Cloud Meadow fully releases? Are we only going to be able to use the Non Steam version unless we buy it from Steam?

You said that backers, previous and current, will get a non-steam ver. of the game. Does this mean a patreon message/email with download links sent out to each person, or is it more keeping it how it currently is with current builds available on the team nimbus patreon page?

Steam doesn't play nice with Patreon. If they tried to give backers the Steam version "for free" they would probably end up getting pulled from Steam entirely.

Cres Hallo

I don't buy that. A lot of Patreons have already done that and looking at Winged Cloud for example they still do.
