While working on fixing the Evan combat bug (If you play Eve nothing goes wrong we've found), we also gave combat UI a readability facelift.

I have to admit having these literal key icons over enemies and allies is not really immersive.

I was kinda thinking the same thing. maybe they have that as part of a tutorial for hots keys in the barracks fighting ground. To show were about the 1-6 keys on the keys board can get you. They shouldn’t show that in the dungeons though. Just my thoughts, not my game I am just enjoying the ride...
