 So you might be wondering why we are publishing here again, rather than to Itch.io?

The answer is fairly simple, in that itch.io would give you guys, anyone, a free, permanent, key to the game including all updates as far as we can tell and we're not particularly interested in giving such a thing out for a while yet. There'll probably be an itch.io early access release at the same time we do the steam early access release (which would give you a permanent key in return for a one time payment close to what we intend to sell the game for, but would be updated very slowly and only when we have stable builds, where as the regularly updated version of the game, with hotfixes, major feature additions, etc, would be here as we tighten things up). 

Once the full game is released, we already plan, and have spoken with steam about, getting every single former backer a steam key regardless of how much money they have contributed to the project over it's lifespan, so you won't have to worry about spending yet more money to get the final product in an easy to use form when it was only through your support that we were able to make the game at all!

We're currently working on a different distribution functionality due to the fact that even the windows builds are rapidly approaching the upload limit patreon places upon posts, and that will be our primary focus along with bug fixing and implementing the remaining portions of act 1 this and the upcoming month.

  • Fixed special buildings being in the wrong spot
  • Fixed a variety of bugs related to the hot house
  • Fixed Chimera not giving byproduct when milking
  • Fixed various sprite animations tiles having the wrong sprite
  • Fixed some animations not working
  • Fixed some positioning getting the player stuck
  • Fixed various new scenes not unlocking

Probably a dumb question but will you be doing an macOS version of the game at some point?

We hope to do so but right now it's beyond our capabilities. Both options are really difficult, one requires us to manually go in and fix all the problems with how memory is handled in our game to be compatible with Windows and Mac Both. The other involves us updating the unity version to Unity 2019 and then having to redo almost everything -else- to fit with the new engine. For this reason we've delayed doing so until the game is complete.

There's a way to set it up so that only people with a pateron account of a certain level can access the updates. I haven't done it personally, but I know that another group I support does and everytime I want to do an update it links to my pateron to see if I'm authorized to access said named update/download. That might work for you all if you can figure out how to do it. BTW, thanks for the aweome game.

can you tell us who this group is so we can message them about how it functions exactly? And if they can lock it so that the game won't be sold only given to patrons?

when you first find/interact with garst, interacting with his body only gives you giev's dialogue. he says he teleports you out (he does not) and there ends up being no way to leave. interacting with garsts body again only repeats gievs dialogue

with what DJay was saying sounds like what leave2gether did for there game Panthea when they put it up on newgrounds. In the start menu they got a side part for patreon login that will vary access based on tier or you can just hit play of public. Hope that gives you something to work with

Getting the same.. trying all kinds shit.. nothing works.. cant talk to giev if u go back manuelly either. is this a bug? or is it just where the current game "ends" ??

golly, i don't have steam and never intended to get it. would there be possible alternatives for people who've supported but do not use steam?

Bug: After upgrading to the Hot House I noticed that eggs which are placed in the incubator do not disappear from the inventory. I'm sorry if this has already been brought up, I looked around but I hadn't seen any reports of it in recent patches
