KEV-BUN ASKED: What my ideal vacation spot would be?

I'd say Ireland!!! I really want to camp and hike out there!

Thank you for the ongoing support, man!!! <3 It means tons hearing you've been through a whole year watching me grow, PEACE AND LOVE. As far as my art 'philosophy' it's similar to that of Alex Grey! I like to look at my imagination, creative drive as separate from myself. You could call it a muse! I've always felt like there were two parts of me, one really wants to touch grass, while the other is shamelessly horny! I like creating art that incorporates those two sides of myself, so my pieces become a very intimate moment when being drawn. Something where all sides of my brain are happy participating in. I think it makes my art not only fun to make, but a nice dive into my psyche!

As far at what usually inspires me, it could be nature as a whole. Being hypnotized by certain plants, arrangements, fields while on hikes. Even my own sexual encounters can play a role into how my artwork get's made. I've always loved those biblical and folk-fantasy nature paintings we saw during medieval, Rococo and Victorian times. I loved the attention to detail to the nature, but also using it to compliment something 'holy' or 'fantastical' is happening. I wanted to do that in my own way and portray sex, queerness as something important and fantastical.

I draw usually with a choice of relaxing music mixed with nature sounds either from online or I'll open my window during the summer. Mostly though, I just like listening to bird and trees sway when I work.  I prefer spice cake! No frosting!

There's not necessarily a method I follow. I usually just start with a body type, and figuring out the lines of the character first and mess with a huge amount of color variations and designs before finding something I like.

The Appalachia come to mind. As they were frequented as a child. Eagles Landing, which is the canon name for the town Bare Paws takes place in, is inspired by places like Yellow Springs, Ohio. Or simply small, green cautious villages.

My parents are big hippies, so i grew up listening to a lot of 60s and 70s stuff. With the internet, I had access to all the same albums and more obscure folky stuff which i ended up falling in love with. I love delta blues and protest music from Pete Seeger. I started to dabble in folk music from around the world, too. China, Japan, and India became my favorites. Especially if it includes a lot of chanting, strings, and audience participation. I'm not sure how it reflects my work, but maybe it does show? I'm not sure!
