I have more art to show, but first, I have a question about this specific piece, so I'll leave the rest for another post in the future. Forgive the low quality of some parts (especially the tattoos) due to how GIMP optimizes stuff for gifs.

Now, this tries to show most/all the customization available for Celeste from this angle (I might add a couple of variations for the piercings, or swap one tattoo for a different one, but this gives a pretty good idea of the scope).

I think her session in the VR room looks pretty nice, but this makes one commission take the time and money of two. That would be a drastic reduction for the number of sex scenes with Celeste (non-sexy commissions and scenes without Celeste wouldn't take more time, of course).

The largest time sink are the 3 different breast sizes, and without these I might get away with paying a little extra and keep all the other customization (tattoos, hair colors, piercings), but I want to know how much people like this stuff.

Of course, we can always "cheat" a little, and make certain customization part of certain paths (so we only get them temporarily or for extended bad ends, circumventing the need to have the extra work for all the scenes), but ideally I'd like to have the feature included in all the scenes. At the same time, it's a significant restriction, so I'd like to hear everyone's thoughts and ideas about customization for Celeste, In light of what I just shared.

In TOTDC 1, graphic doesn't play too much of a roll, we mostly reply on your text descriptions. So personally, I don't really mind to have less graphic enchantment but having more development time focus on content. Or we can choice a middle of the road option to just have a character screen that shows all the customization of your Celeste, but with static CG through out the game. It also can be something to add in the future when you are polishing the game.

I mean, the idea is still that I'll try to focus on content first, of course, but given that I am using Ren'py and custom art, we might as well try to get as much as we can out of it, or at least, that's the thought process. I want to make something that looks great, but I am not out to kill my own game. XD Figuring out the scope early on is better, to avoid wasting time afterward, but yes, we could always downsize the plans, if it seems like things are too much (but all the more reason to think about it now, since the game is still in its early stages). Yes, an approach similar to Caliross is always possible, of course.

I'd like the breast size variations, but I can live without a range of different tattoos or hair colours.

Gotcha! I mentioned this in some of the other comments, but I think for the next scene I'll try to reduce the breast sizes from 3 to 2 (since they are the biggest time sink), and cut out some of the tattoos. I might prepare a poll on which of the two larger sizes to use, so I know which one people would prefer.
