So, this week I focused mostly on the new quest. I think it went pretty well, all things considered! The maps are finished, there are a few secrets, the intro is done and the main content is almost complete as well, I just need some time to think about the final fight and write the ending.

This is actually going to be a more "traditional" extermination quest for monsters, although we have the usual minor puzzling along the way typical of most of the other quests in the game. As such, and also because they have slightly less "reputation points" available, I decided to make this a quest for the adventurers guild. The location is brand new, and I should think if I want to re-use it later for another quest (might be cool to have a follow up where we explore the area further).

I expect to be finished with it in a couple of days at most, then I'll be writing some scenes for the harem path, and work some more on chapter 6, the H-scenes list and whatever else I can think of. Next week we should get the monthly poll and art preview, so we'll have plenty to talk about if we want to.

Have you mapped out all the sidequest possibilities that you need to take into account for the final quest? Between the Zanti, Vampires, Royal Harem, and the various love interests...that's a lot of kudzu!

Well, we still have lots to do, but at least the end is in sight. Once I wrap up chapter 6, it will be much easier to take care of the remaining loose ends, I think.

The final quest/chapter is mainly focused on closing the story on your uncle's disappearance and what we learned in Tarisa. As for the various factions, we'll probably handle the various interactions in chapter 5, and then we'll have an appropriate slide to show up during the ending (unless they get their own "bad end", so to speak). Some of the factions will be more self-contained than others (the vampires, for example, while they might show up in other quests, essentially have their own path, and the only interference with the others is indirect). We'll probably need a proper quest to sort out Zanti and League of Merchants (which probably mean some quests for both, especially the LoM). For the love interests, it depends on who they are. I expect to have some sort of "faction loyalty check" when you try to start chapter 6, to determine if you want to save your uncle more than you want to be a cow, or Eliza's breeder or whatever, and so the game will nudge you into seeking their bad ends or breaking the mind control, at the end. Some will just co-exist (Beatrix doesn't really care too much about your human lovers, as long as you are hers, for example). We might get a few specific vignettes for fights or ill will between some of them. Not everything is 100% planned, but I have a rough outline in my head, and I'll start homing in on the various aspects as I start commissioning art for the endings. Ah, sorry for the really long reply! XD
