Hi guys! This might seem a bit out of the blue, but I was thinking about it for a while, and I'd like to hear your thoughts.

The short stories have been part of the Patreon for a while, but they still feel a bit "experimental" in my head, so I am trying to see if anything needs improving.

An easy thing that comes to mind is if the file format should be changed. I currently use Twine to write the stories, specifically since I had some really minor gameplay elements which I thought would be better tracked using it (if you remember the first story, you'll know that some choices did alter the text later on). However, Twine might be too awkward when the story is very straightforward (if I remember correctly, you can't even use saves between updates, to name one issue), maybe using a regular text file would be better? Or other engines I am perhaps not considering at the moment.

I was also wondering if the stories are long or if they feel right, and if the polls feel satisfying in that sense. Would people, for example, prefer shorter stories where we vote for 3-5 times to decide the general idea, the main focal point plus something for the ending (and a couple of other choices), or is the current "small choice every week over a long time" better?

There are also other options, like a "short story of the season" but with the same protagonist everytime in a different situation every 3-4 months, but you get the idea. I'd like to hear if people like/dislike the current situation, if they would like any aspect big or small improved, and what other suggestions you might have.

Small improvements probably wouldn't need much effort, but in case there are a lot of suggestions we could always run a poll in the future, although right now I just want to hear from you guys. Even people that don't support the short stories should feel free to chime in, if they think they have some insight as to what changes could get them interested, if they checked them before and weren't into them.
