Chapter 1 Outline:

  • Ding-dong!
  • “Oh! That must be her!” Mrs. Caroline Rogers said, getting to her feet.
  • “Doorbell, huh? Would expected something flashier.” Mr. Peter Rogers replied, looking up from his phone unenthusiastically.
    • Was looking at the text alert from the restaurant. Their table would be ready at the proper time.
  • “Hush now! Don’t be rude!” Caroline huffed, shaking her head. She calls up the stairs. “Ayra! The babysitter is here!”
    • There’s some slightest shuffling sounds upstairs
  • Peter gets up, questioning again the choice for babysitter. He really seems enthusiastic about this
  • Caroline assures him that this woman will be perfect. She comes recommended from another family friend of there’s. “Sure, she’s a bit different from other usual girl, but she’s available and sounds like an angel.”
  • “Right. She’s not gonna cook our child or anything.”
  • “Peter! That’s a hurtful stereotype. Don’t talk like that to her! Now, act like the man I married or cancel our dinner plans and you get to sulk on the couch tonight.”
  • Peter frowns, but sighs and nods.
  • Caroline reaches the foyer front door and opens it up
  • A green, young woman with short black hair that curls at the end is standing there with a large white bag. She’s wearing all black and grey.
  • “Hello Mr. and Mrs. Rogers!” The witch declared with a bright smile, “Thank you for having me!”
  • “It’s a pleasure having you, Eve!” Caroline said with a smile back.
  • Eve was a witch, a witch apprentice as it were. Not someone you would usually call to watch your children.
  • However, from what she has heard from her friend, Eve is absolute saint when it comes to children. All her kids like her and the kids’ friends like her as well. Parents especially seem like fans.
  • Also from her slight digging, there appears to be no issue as well. Has several jobs beyond babysitting, so she’s a hardworker!
  • Eve walks in, wipes her shoes on the rug, and slips out of them. “So, where is Lily?”
  • “Oh right! Lily! Eve is here!”
  • At the top of the stairs, a young girl (8 or so) pokes her head out from around the corner. She looks at her parents and then at Eve curiously.
  • “It’s impolite to stare! Come down here and meet Eve, honey.”
  • Lily cautiously walks down the stairs and up to Eve, looking her all over, curious.
  • “Hello! You must be Lily! I’ll be your super fun babysitter tonight!”
  • “You’re a witch.” “Correct! So I’m full of magic fun!” “...are you gonna cook me for dinner?”
  • Peter gives Caroline a look, the mom shushing him before saying anything.
  • Eve giggles and pats her head. “That’s silly talk! I’m just a normal girl with green skin, a long nose, and some magic! Fairy tales are just silly.”
  • “Okay.” Lily looks curiously at her and pulls out the My Little Pony coloring book from behind her back. “Do you want to color!”
  • “Sure! Sounds like fun!” Eve said
  • The mom smiles and interrupts. “It seems like you are already making friends with her. Good! Now, there are a few rules to know…”
  • -Scene Cut-
  • “Now, everything all set?” “Yes ma’am! Bedtime at 7:30. Dinner is in the fridge and should be around 6:30! No YouTube shows. Stick to Netflix cartoons. Gotcha!”
  • Eve nods, the parents are out the door and heading for the car. “Don’t worry! I have this down just fine! We’ll just be coloring until dinner time.”
  • “Good! You have our number so if anything happens, call us right away!” The mom said, Peter starting up the car quickly, hinting for her to come.
  • “You two have a nice night out! Enjoy yourselves!” Eve disappears into the house, door closing.
  • Caroline gets into the car and buckles up. She looks at Peter with a look. “See? Everything is going just fine. Don’t freak out.”
  • “You say that but something weird is going to be waiting for us when we get home. You don’t mess with magic or magical beings, let alone leave your children with them.”
    • Car is pulling out
  • “Again, give her a chance! Everything will be fine. Now of our friends or their friends had any problems with her.”
  • “Okay. Just keeping my expectations realistic.” Peter sighed. “Let’s just enjoy dinner, okay?”
  • “Mhm!” Car hits the road and the two are off.

Chapter 2 Outline:

  • It’s past 6 pm now. Eve noticed the time on her phone. Things are going well, just well!
  • Lily is busy coloring, working on another page of Rarity, while Eve sits beside her
    • The two had worked on a page together, but Lily feels she should continue coloring on her own. Eve isn’t as good (witch takes it in stride)
  • Lily finishes the page and Eve compliments her on the work, liking the little light tones in the mane and tail. Lily really has an eye for colors, more than what her age would suggest
  • Lily blushes and nods. “Th-thank you!”
  • Lily flips the page and there’s a picture of Twilight Sparkle (pre Alicorn days) and Fluttershy together.
  • Lily smiles. “Fluttershy is daddy’s favorite pony! Mommy likes Twilight too!”
  • “Understandable! Best ponies~!”
  • Lily shakes her head. “Pinkie Pie is best! Fluttershy and Twilight are okay.”
  • Eve chuckles and nods. Whatever made her happy
  • Lily goes to her crayons and looks through them. Big box of them from what it looks like.
  • However, looking through it, Lily frowns and starts looking glum.
  • “Something the matter?” “I… I don’t have enough yellow or pink! Oh… none of the purples are right either!”
  • Lily sighs and looks glumly at the ground. Eve frowns. That’s trouble! She can’t let Lily down like that. Maybe she could help.
  • Though, she didn’t really know any good spells for conjuring. She really needed to study that so she could bring in things she needed at a moment’s notice.
  • Scratching her chin, there was one idea that came to mind.
  • “Hmmm… why don’t you watch some ponies on TV? Eve has to do something real quick in the other room.”
  • “Okay…” Lily glumly answers, not fully paying attention.
  • Eve turns on Netflix and gets the pony show going, hurrying out of the room.
  • Getting into the kitchen, a good distance away, Eve sighs and closes her eyes. Need doorway. Need help. Please help me right now!
  • The lights dim and flicker a bit an purplish aura appeared in the middle of the room
  • From it, a window appeared.
  • “Heellllllllooooo, dear customer! How can Witchy Times Inc. help you… wait, Eve?”
  • The window opened to reveal Beatrice, another witch with her coven. An older one at that with lots more experience.
  • Beatrice sighed. “Don’t you have some baby to watch or something? I gotta be ready for when a real customer mentally calls our service.”
    • She tries to close the window
  • “Wait! I need your help for something! I don’t want to disappoint Lily!” “Who?” “The little girl I’m babysitting.” “Oh… whatever.”
  • “Siiiigh, fine! I’ll cover your next window shift. Just please help me!”
  • Beatrice smirks. “Well, when you talk nice like that, how can I refuse? What does the girl need?”
  • “New crayons, stat!” Eve holds up the crayon box she swiped to Beatrice, who takes it and looks at it curiously. “She’s coloring ponies and is all out of colors for Fluttershy and Twilight Sparkle!”
  • “Fluttershy and Twilight, eh?” Beatrice stroked her chin.
  • “Yeah, they’re her parents favorite. I’m betting she plans on showing them it later! Please, I just need some new crayons.”
  • “Suuuuuuuuuuure! I can do that. I can make some Fluttershy and Twilight Sparkle color crayons! Not a problem!” Beatrice is chuckling to herself.
  • Eve is a bit suspicious, but she doesn’t think too much on it as Beatrice mumbles and wiggles her fingers.
  • There’s a glow from the box and Beatrice hands it over
  • Inside, there’s a lot of bright crayons for every shade and color in Fluttershy and Twilight Sparkle, plus the other crayons are restored to full new form.
  • “Ta-da! Your kid will thank me later! And of course, I’ll see you tomorrow for my shift right away!” Beatrice grins and winks
  • The window closes and vanishes, leaving Eve with the box in her hands. Beatrice really out did herself with these! They look incredible. Lily will love these!
