Rachel mustered some more energy to look away. She could not be hot and bothered right now. Not today in this climate.

I need something. I need something cold right now. I need relief from-

DING DONG!

FUCK! Right! Rachel leapt to her feet in a flash, showing more energy in that movement than she had in hours. “Salvation has arrived!”

JD gave her an odd look. “But the air conditioning repair guy isn’t supposed to come until tomorrow though.”

“I got something better! I can’t believe I forgot! This heat is fucking with my brain today!” Rachel skipped to the door out in the hallway with a bright smile. Things were looking up.

She opened up and found another woman there, sweaty and looking tired herself. However, in her mitts was her desire: a case of Energy’mon: Winter Freeze.

Rachel’s eyes glowed. Perfect! She snatched the case quickly from the Instacart shopper and slammed the door close with her foot, belting out, “Sorry! Gotta close the door or I’ll let more heat in! Big tip coming your way on the app, thanks!”

The shopper tried to say something, but Rachel didn’t notice. Could've been an important or a swear. It didn't matter. What mattered was her drinks!

She pranced back into the living room, JD having not budged in an inch. She hopped up right before him and shoved the case up to his snoot. “Ta-da! Salvation!”

The Umbreon weakly pushed the case away. “Umm, how is that supposed to bring you salvation? A fur coat isn’t going to help you at all right now, trust me.”

“Buuuut, hear me out!” Rachel wagged a finger in his snoot then. “You just need to understand my genius! What I have here is Winter Freeze, riiiiiiight? You know what that means, riiiiight?”

JD shrugged. Rachel chuckled, shaking her head. “It means, cooldown, here I come!”

“Still not following.”

Rachel shrugged. “Alright, Mr. Visual Learner! Watch and be amazed at my ingenuity!” She set the case down and cracked it open, pulling out an energy can. This one was ice blue, the logo of “Winter Freeze” plastered across it.

She cracked the top and took a big swig from the can. That taste was definitely interesting. It was like drinking berry blue Hawaiian Punch, but heavy on the caffeine and sugar. Not her favorite flavor, but not bad at all!

Of course, it was the feeling from drinking it that she liked the most. That powerful, surging sugar that made her muscles tighten and relax. That drink coursed through her veins and form, energizing everything.

"Sorry! Gotta close the door, or I'll let more heat in! Big tip coming your way on the app, thanks!" The shopper said something, but Rachel didn't notice whether it was a curse or not. What mattered was her drinks! Isn't RACHEL the shopper here?

Firingwall

She is not. The shopper tries to say something after Rachel stammers all of that out, but is ignored. I'll update the dialogue to make it more clear.

But Rachel's the one who bought the drink, right...? Is "shopper" some kinda slang I don't know??
