Yeah, our dad pass away yesterday morning if some of you guys haven't heard by now as I said in the last journal it went so quickly once they remove all the life support we know we made the right choice but we didn't know how fast he would go and it still hurts.

I took the rest of this week off from work knowing that he would go any day now I didn't think it would be the next day. I was at home when I got the call from one of my sisters telling me I need to head to the hospital even though she didn't say it I just knew in fact I got that phone call right before I posted this Vent Art https://www.furaffinity.net/view/47071854/ and now it's going to be part of the funeral pamphlet when I have shown it to everyone. Anyways when I walk through that door and saw him lying there with our mom sitting next to him and my twin brother at the foot of his bed (which he was at work when the news broke) and my 3rd oldest sister on the other side (the other two oldest sisters were off getting everyone and my oldest brother was already back home in Washington state after he was visiting us last weekend) everyone gathers and we just hold each other and cry.

The rest of the morning was spent us just sitting there in the room waiting for the rest of the family that could make it to show up giving their last goodbye before we have to give his body to the funeral home then the rest of the day was spent planning out his funeral and spreading the news to extended family members but while we ware doing all that we ware talking about him and his life and telling stories of him and I just want to share some of my favorite story of him.

He was a Birthday Gift to our Mom.

Yeah you read that right he was literally a Birthday gift to our mom for her 15th birthday it was a more of a joke gift set up by her brother (our uncle) whom our dad was friends with when our mom jokingly said that she wanted a boyfriend for her Birthday gift but as it turns out they actually end up liking each other and they been together ever since.

He was mistaken when the family dog dies.

About a few years or so into their marriage and I believe it was when my older brother and sister were still very young (this took place way before my and my twin were born) the family dog which was a chihuahua that our dad gave to our mom back when they were dating suddenly pass away so our mom calls our grandma but she was so upset and crying that our grandma misunderstood her that she thought that our dad passes away suddenly so as soon our grandma got off the phone with our mom she ends up calling the rest of the family telling everyone that our dad has passed. When our mom's sister (our aunt) that was living nearby at the time heard the news she quickly went over to the house to try to comfort our mom not knowing that our dad was just out in the backyard digging a grave for the dog so when our dad went back into the house and as soon he walked into the living room where our aunt and our mom was almost completely scaring our aunt to death. So in the end our mom and dad had to call everyone and let them know that our dad did not die and that it was the family dog that died. This was always one of my favorite stories with our dad almost always getting told at family gatherings.

My Dad and Me

There is not a lot of story between me and my dad or ones I could remember before he got sick, there is the one when he fell down the stair while holding both of us when we were babies end up breaking my twin brother leg after that happened and the time I decided to give myself a haircut when we were 5 (I think) and he tries to fix it unsuccessfully.  Overall he has been a good dad to us even though we did push his buttons from time to time and made mistakes but he always beans supportive of whatever we do even with my artwork though he doesn't understand what furries are he has always been supportive on whatever I did with my art stuff.

Here is his Obituary if want to know a little more about him https://www.nalderfuneralhome.com/obituaries/Stanley-King-Jones?obId=24784889#/celebrationWall

As it said we are holding his funeral this Saturday so all current commissions and projects will be put on hold until sometime after his funeral.

I don't want to say goodbye but I always told him when I leave for work, See ya later Dad cause I know I will see him again.
