Greetings from Diamond Feit! I hope everyone reading this is enjoying their super-sized February (now with 29 days). I know Stuart Gipp and I certainly enjoyed ourselves recording this, our latest community podcast. You left a ton of comments and feedback to cover this month and it was a delight to read!

Truth be told both Stu and I are recovering from ailments but I don't think that impacted our conversation. Fair warning: the episode takes a turn for the scandalous in the final minutes, so those of you with children may need to cover their ears. But don't let that dissuade you from listening to and responding to our monthly audience question!

My contribution: Elden Ring took the world by storm, but let's not forget its most enduring trait: the beloved dogs... I mean turtles, among which stands a big exquisitely-rendered and well-spoken TURTLE POPE. Considering FromSoft is owned by none other than movie/media giant Kadokawa, I propose the following: Give FromSoft the world's most beloved overgrown turtle: Gamera! Make a follow-up to Panzer Dragoon-esque Gamera 2000 with its renowned live-action FMVs. Or make an action game in which you control Gamera in the style of the mech in Armored Core or Metal Wolf Chaos, laying complete waste to enemies (and cityscapes) cheered on by the songs of children all over the world. Koh Ohtani, who besides the 90's Gamera movies provided the score for Shadow of the Colossus, could do the music! The possibilities are endless. But knowing From Software, they will do the Guardian of the Universe justice.

For the Question of the Month: I would love to see La-Mulana developer NIGORO take a turn at a Zelda-like game, specifically in the top down action adventure style. A Legend of Zelda game with the in-depth layered puzzles of La-Mulana would be a fantastic way to experience the sword play of Link to the Past while also getting those brain wrinkling feelings. The Legend of Zelda puzzles have always seemed superficial to me, typically only requiring a specific tool for a specific situation. Outside the box thinking is few and far between and seldom reach outside the dungeons. I feel like TUNIC is something that got close to what I am looking for here but I’d love to see what NIGORO would do specifically.
