Finally decided to post my answer here. Normally just state it on the discord and forget. But my answer for QotM is the Ultima series. The adventure mystery aspect of Ultima 4 onward is really neat. But once combat becomes a feature it becomes just tedious to play. And you need to fight a lot not just for EXP/Gold but also because of the whole Virtue system the games got which makes you fight way too many in not so fun battle system.

My answer to the QotM is The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. I see other people lambasting games like Metroid or Halo, but in my case I don’t think Ocarina of Time is a bad game. It remains a towering technical and conceptual achievement, but the problem for me is that it’s boring. Maybe it’s because at the time I played it I had completed A Link to the Past and Link’s Awakening two times each, and OoT’s story struck me as old-fashioned. Maybe it’s also because I felt Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon stole a lot of Zelda’s thunder. I don’t know. I just feel like every other Zelda game is more interesting.
