After the initial trilogy, Ace Attorney took some find to find itself once the book was seemingly closed on Phoenix Wright. From spinoffs to crossovers to soft reboots featuring new characters, Capcom's beloved adventure game series went through some ups and downs before returning to the steady level of quality we've come to expect. On this weeks episode, join Bob Mackey, Nina Matsumoto, and Maddie Copp as the crew explores just where Ace Attorney has been in the 15 years since its first finale.

I am going to defend the Perceive system by reminding everyone that Apollo's bracelet is not magic, it's just a tight fitting bracelet! It feels tighter because Apollo subconsciously tenses up when he notices someone's body language change and the bracelet helps him notice when he's doing so. I think the writing behind the ability pairs well with two of the running narratives in the game, stage magic (seems like it's a mystical thing but it's really not) and poker/card games (where reading body language of your opponent is important).

This ep has inspired me to finally finish the Great duology. I also really want to know how many meetings it took for the English loc team to walk away from naming him Suzaku Raito.
