Pokemon has that Stand By Me reference you mentioned, and then Omori has a reference to that same reference.

It's amazing how nobody knew what telekinesis was. As I'm reading Uncanny X-Men (60s) the number of times they mix it up with teleportation is ridiculous. It feels like people didn't have any imagination until fairly recently.
